What a wonderful find! We had a superb dinner at Sage restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and looked almost too good to eat. The chef dealt with all our dietary requirements so well (one coeliac, one no fish no onion, one vegetarian and the rest normal!) and the waiters gave fantastic service.Funky decor inside with an outside courtyard which... We were celebrating our weddding anniversary on the evening of 15th May 2014 at Sage and took the waiters suggestion of the chefs selection of five dishes. It was the most fantastic and fabulous meal either of us had experienced in a long time. The flavours were magnificent and the presentation was perfect. The staff are extremely professional and knowledgable... More

Have never been disappointed dining at Sage for lunch or dinner and this time for lunch was no exception. Everything was superb. We decided to have the tasting menu instead of the ala carte and weren’t disappointed with Chef’s choices. We started with sugar cured ocean trout; then butter poached calamari; next was the glazed pork belly; the beef fillet;... More

Pete from Sage made our dining experience a truly memorable one. There were five of us dining and we decided on the surprise degustation with matching wines. As it was my birthday Pete added in some additional delicious treats for us. Each course was so delicious. The sommelier's choice of matching wines was excellent. We will definitely return.

Yes, I suppose this is fine dining but it's fine dining in the eighties. The food is a little more contemporary however I would never expect to see pumpkin soup on such a menu, no matter how nice the pumpkin soup is, its still pumpkin soup even if you do serve it with the previously fashionable foam accompaniment. The rest... More

My daughter suggested Sage for her 15th birthday family dinner celebration. I couldn't remember our last dining experience there so I went with no expectations. After drinks at the lovely Mint the four of us went in. Tuesday night and the restaurant was full and the staff welcoming, the atmosphere and decore lovely and inviting. After travelling to many countries... More

If you are looking for fine dining in Canberra, look no further than Sage. Other fine dining restaurants we've found to be uptight, overpriced and have under delivered - not so with Sage! The food is always excellent - the sparkling water is free (!!!), and the ambience is welcoming.

My partner and I tried the omnivore and herbivore degustation with matching wines, I highly recommend doing this if dining as a couple. We decided to share and taste all the beautiful dishes that the chef served up! The sommelier was experienced and gave us both good insight into the wines, who made them and the region they came from.... More

Before Sage decide on their new seasonal menu, they host a series of Taste and Test evening, where diners get to score the dishes and make comments (on a paper tablecloth). It was a fabulous evening with friends - the food was amazing, there was a great atmosphere, and our waiters/waitresses were (mostly) top notch. One waitress kept forgetting the... More
