Went here tonight on a recommendation from my daughter. Menu is eclectic mish mash of Malay, Thai & Chinese. Which worked well and surprised me somewhat. The initial glass of Huia Sav Blanc they served was dull & stale my wife returned it. The Floor Manager to her credit came back with a fresh bottle opened it at the table,... More

Abell's Kopi Tiam is fantastic for a quick bite to eat or a longer relaxing meal, you can sit inside or outside they even give you a blanket if it's a little cool. You go to Abell's Kopi Tiam for the food, it's fabulous from the Curry Puffs to Bali Chicken, it's all great!!

We enjoy dinner here on a weekly or more often basis because there is no place in Canberra that offers such great Malaysian fusion fresh and high quality food. The prices are very reasonable for a place that serves food that is of the highest quality.

The beef rendang was so good I went back a second time in three days! The spring onion roti is also fabulous. The restaurant is an absolute gem for Malaysian Nonya cuisine with everything on the menu sounding so enticing. The service is great and I cant wait to get back to Canberra to try more of the menu.

The only thing that stopped me from dining here in the past was the price. It is on the expensive side for Asian food but as I was craving a Char Kwey Teow I decided to try it. I was not entirely disappointed however it could have been better considering the price. The dish was presented well, looked clean and... More

Caught up with family and friends for lunch on Easter Sunday. Had a table outside in the sun. Service was quick and efficient. Ordered a selection of food to share on the table. Started with a simple but tasty prawn and pork wanton soup. followed up with mains ranging from and incredibly good and tasty beef rendang - highly recommend... More

The menu here seems to range over many South East Asian cuisines but the food was really tasty and offered some interesting and unusual choices. We shared three of the "Small Plates", the salt and cracked pepper crispy tofu from the usual menu, and two dishes from the specials menu, pork belly braised in red vinegar and zucchini flowers stuffed... I agree with all the foregoing comments. As Canberra locals, we've eaten there many times and have always had great service that's cheerful and quick, plus a great array of tasty and satisfying choices. Many thanks to staff and chefs.
