Relaxed café/bakery, quick service. Fantastic bread and good coffee. Need a few more tables inside that are set up for more than 2 people but I don't think the space/layout of the café could accommodate it.

We went in for breakfast, the almond croissant was delicious & coffee superb but nothing gluten free on the menu as far as bread goes is unacceptable today! Spelt was the only low gluten option. Service was good, outdoor seating comfy. The juice bar by the same name two doors down is good.

My husband and I regularly have breakfast or brunch at Autolyse. Coffee is great or we grab some fresh juice from their juice store a few shops down on a hot day to have with our meal. The French omelette is to die for and the pulled pork roll is super tasty. Improvements could be made to the seating inside... More

I visited Autolyse for the first time to meet a friend for breakfast. We arrived early on a weekday and decided to sit outside. The cafe wasn't particularly busy, steady stream of early coffee grabbers, but we were early enough to miss the rush. Positives, the coffee was nice (I had a soy latte) and the baked eggs were basic... More

Great for breakfast or lunch. Watch the bread and cakes being made while you sample the delicious menu. A great place to eat in an area that seems to be taking off at the moment for restaurants.

To start with good things - their coffee is good. It has to be said that Autolyse is primarily a bakery and we did not try their baked goods. The food however is average. We had omelette and it was very average, i make better ones at home. Now that the weather is warmer they really need more umbrella's outside... More

I've been here a handful of times and each time has been an awful experience do the rudeness of the staff behind the counter. Seriously Autolyse I am trying to give you money! Sandwich was soggy, atmosphere ruined by the bad experiences. NEXT!!

Brownies and coffee are my thing from here but the muffins and crossaints are just as good. Breakfast is great value, don't pass the baked eggs.

Autolyse was close to where some friends live so we went there for brunch on both days we were in Canberra. The queue to order seemed long (which was a good sign) and it moved quickly (which was a relief) so our order was taken reasonably quickly. The food was delicious (ricotta and tomato on toasted homemade bread) and the... More

I went to Autolyse twice on my visit to Canberra, and loved the food at both. The first time I just got a couple of their pastries. The Almond Croissant is decadent and rich, plus their homemade breads are pretty awesome too. The second time we decided to eat in. I had an excellent smoked trout salad with potatoes, rocket...
