Great food

Low key cafe selling great food. Lamb and Chicken Shish were great. No alcohol. Cafe itself was a bit on the cold side at night so rug up. Prices were around the $20-$25 mark. Staff were lovely. Let us take away left over dip and then provided additional bread at no cost.

The quality of this restaurant has slipped considerably in the past few years. I have not been to Mavi in some time, however, on returning there I have found the staff to be ambivalent (bordering on rude), the menu to be considerably less enticing than it used to be and the food itself to be very mediocre. In fact, I'd... More

I bought a couple pizzas, turkish bread and a dip from here recently and it has to be the worst turkish food I have ever had, the pizzas were tiny serves, the bread was cold as was the pizza and the hummus was the worst part, I have never has such horrible hummus dip before, it was like glue extremely... The food here is tasty and lots of it. Was very busy when I had lunch there yet the staff were happy to move tables together so that our group of five could sit together.

I have been going to mavi for a while and lately I find the food has been cold and not as fresh as it used to be.

We shared 3 delicious, fresh dips for entree plus a large basket of turkish bread which was moreish. My main meal salmon dish, served with salads, was generous as was my husband's lamb meat balls. Sadly, neither of us could finish our meals - too much food! Would highly recommend for an informal meal or takeaway. The staff were very... More

At both locations (the Realm Precinct and Woden) I feel like I'm able to relive the cuisine I loved in Istanbul. Whether I go for take away or eat in everything I've tried so far has been delicious.

A bit pricey, but the servings are big and tasty. The cafe itself is ho-hum, so I would recommend take away. If you like turkish delight, buy it from Mavi, its delicious.

Convenient Cafe Style setting. Food was delicious & service was excellent. Highly recommend for a bite on the run or lunch with friends.

Mavi is a very popular lunch spot for me and my work collogues who work close by. The food is authentic and is always delightful with lots of flavour.
