Evening meal

Greeting and meal excellent. However service could be better. Had to order meal at bar and not offered water or drinks at table. Friendly place but service should be better for price of meals.

We visited with friends on Friday 2 October as a last minute birthday treat. We use their sister pub The Vine Tree quite often so we had high expectations, that I'm delighted to say were comfortably met. The Crab ciabattas were excellent, as was the lamb, fish pie and fish and chips. All served with a friendly smile, with an... More

Based ourselves in Broad Hinton whilst attending the Rugby World Cup and visited the Barbury Inn each day. We had three amazing meals. The food was superb with great service presented with a smile. Credit to the Chef and staff. We very much look forward to returning.

A quick visit for lunch (gorgeous steak and kidney pud with roasted veg!) lovely beers and a great atmosphere so we stayed, watched the rugby and had a great time! On the serious, good menu (local sourced produce) usually a good fish specials board and a good selection of wines! Visit it's well worth it!

We visited for the first time as we were passing & needed a drink. The atmosphere was so lovely & welcoming that we decided to stay to eat. The menu was extensive, with a large specials board & a separate board of tapas. A large party arrived just after us. Our waitress made a special effort to get us served... More

Booked for an anniversary dinner, arrived with two other tables eating but it was mid week. Both ordered from the specials board - day boat fish and chips. Haddock and chips arrived some time later with a dish of garden peas. The chips were very hard and the knife couldn't cut through them. The batter over the fish wasn't light... More

If I was rating the food and service The Barbury would get a 5 which is always first class however whenever I visit including the summer despite being someone that hates to be too hot, it is always a bit chilly, so well worth a visit but take a woolly!

We were hoping to eat at the Crown in Broad Hinton but really have to book a table on a Sunday. We were lucky to find the Barbury Inn who greeted us cheerfully, fitted us in and provided a very good lunch. There was also a choice of food apart from the Sunday roast, which suits us at lunchtime. Nicely... More
