We enjoyed Temporary Cal's for dinner. Make sure you check if they are open, and be sure to bring cash! No credit cards accepted. We had a great Caesar Salad, fried Conch and then the Grilled Lobster. The food was excellent, and there is an atmosphere like you have found a special secret spot to enjoy your dinner. We will... Cal's 'temporary' cantina has the 'best' food on the island in an outdoor, on a hill-top, truly casual setting!! All this at a price any traveler can afford!

Don't miss this place on your next visit to Roatan. The food is amazing, the view is gorgeous and the chef/owner is a super nice guy. My favorite item is the spicey fried shrimp but I've tried several other items and nothing disappointed! There's something new and different every week. Recently had some of the best lamb chops ever!

We had lunch recently at Cal's restaurant. The view of the south side of Roatan is remarkable and breath-taking. Our garlic bread was exceptionally tasty. We enjoyed our hamburger and fries. We found the hamburg pattie was quite red on the inside and we would have liked it cooked a little more. The natural drinks were delicious. This is a... More

I'm not sure which is the best at Cal's- the food, the view or the margaritas. We stopped in here our last day on the island for a late lunch. The view is just stunning and there are tables in and out of the sun, so you can have a nice view while in the shade. Possibly the best margarita... More

This is not a fancy place to look at, it's a round concrete building perched on the edge of a hillside overlooking First Bight and the south shore of Roatan. What it is is a dining experience you will not forget. All of the food is freshly prepared from local ingredients, all sauces are made right there, desserts are home... More
