Cozy..

This is my second visit here, food was nicely cooked, well presented and served in a good time frame. Seated in small rooms with a period feel it's suited for all occasions. The collection of Ales and array of drinks will satisfy everyone's thirst.

Called in on a busy afternoon thinking about eating, but it was very busy so we decided to eat elsewhere and come back later for a drink. Magnificent building. Great interior. Decent real ales. We sat upstairs and it was too cold to sit comfortably. The nearby radiator was lukewarm. We had to find a table downstairs to warm up.... More

I've been going to the Prince Rupert for some time now, and it's a favourite for post-working week drinks on a Friday, and as a lunch venue. The menu variety is pretty uncomplicated (which I like), and the quality is well above the standard pub fare. Indeed, their pizzas are as good as you'll find anywhere. They also have a... More

Went to the Prince Rupert for my 60th birthday meal with my work colleagues, was absolutely freezing cold inside and when I asked to be moved the attitude of the staff was unpleasant and rude. We were moved to a much colder area, might as well have sat out in the street eating - would not have been colder. The... More

We had a lovely Saturday lunch here. A very busy place with no airs and graces but a lovely cosy feel. Staff were excellent, mainly young girls serving and all friendly and efficient. I had a focaccia with pulled beef and BBQ sauce. It was delicious. My husband had focaccia with sausages which he loved. Both dishes came with side... More

3 of us enjoyed a great meal and cracking service at this tastefully decorated little pub. Ps. The not so little pizza is massive!!

Booked a table for 9 for a family get together, just after Christmas. The PR is an olde-world style pub but feels authentic. The atmosphere is enhanced by its division into small areas downstairs and separate rooms upstairs. The last of our party were a bit late arriving and it was gone 1.30 by the time we placed our food... More

Lovely meal here last night with some friends and great wine. Food was delicious I had the game casserole which was very good and the pizza was lovely too-very thin base. Great atmosphere, will definitely return.

Dived in for an early dinner as we were in a rush to get to the train station. The staff couldn't have been nicer, a belting array of ales and ciders. Lovely food too, try out the Calzone it's amazing! Thank you!

The pizza here is absolutely spot on!!! The service is great and they have a brilliant selection of drinks! All the food here is great (not just the pizza)! This is a fantastic place for food and drinks alike! Highly recommended!
