My husband booked a table for my 70th birthday. First of all I must say thank you to Steven and Joanne for the birthday card, was very thoughtful of them. Have not visited The Wheatsheaf since the new owners took over, but was not disappointed the food was delicious my husband enjoyed his sirloin and I really enjoyed the duck.... More

A lovely pub with well presented excellent food. The chips live up to the great reviews! The hot sandwiches are delicious but come with French fries not the acclaimed thick chips. The service was friendly and not intrusive. The only criticism was that the room was rather cold despite a lovely log burner.

Great choice on the menu as well spotting the board of specials we nearly missed. The food was delicious and well presented. If your passing through I recommend to give it a go. Very... More
