We've been on our way to Vai beach and somehow natural it was to stop in Sitia. Checking guide quickly we found recommendation of this little bit hidden place. Extreme sunshine pushed us towards taverns at the port but we forced ourselves to look deeper in the streets. And there it was - The Balcony above our heads. Relieving chill... More

Excellent restaurant, unlike any other in Sitia and far eastern Crete in general. Great atmosphere, great food, fantastic hosts. Highly recommended if you find yourself around Sitia area. We savoured everything we ordered, especially saganaki and ntakos from the appetisers and the tenderloin pork with yogurt, coq au vin and the rabbit from the main dishes. The desserts were absolutely... More

A very good restaurant offering something different than the usual touristic tavernas in Sitia. The menu choices are not vast but we found many dishes that whet our appetite. The food was of high quality and the flavours were combined in an unique way. We left satiated and although the prices were above the usual, it was worth it.

After looked in Kos, Patmos, Symi and Rhodes we finally found this little gem in Sitia, small restaurant with very tasty dishes, the desert was fabulous, very ok prices, we will be back for sure, a relief as we thought we wouldn't find a treasure like this one

We toured Crete in June . We have been under the charm of this beautiful island . West and East are 2 worlds apart but both are extremely attractive . Of course we have tasted the now world renowned Cretan food looking for THE recipe which will allow us to reach the age of 100 physically and mentally totally fit... More

We were a group of five friends who left Agios Nikolaos to visit Balcony as some friends suggested us to go. We had the two salads the colourful which had all types of vegetables raw courgette (fantastic) and mushrooms, and the greek one which surprisingly had the tomatoes peeled off not to disturb digestion (fantastic!)!!! I had pasta with shrimps... More

If you do only one thing in Siteia, have a meal at Tonya's ( The Balcony). You won't merely be eating at a restaurant; you'll be Tonya's guest. She'll be taking her overwhelming personality all the way into the kitchen, and reappear with dishes you don't usually enjoy at restaurants. Not in resort restaurants, anyway. The ingredients: fresh and simple.... More

A combination of locally produced Cretan spices, vegetables, meat and fishes from the Mediterranean Sea. Lot of inspirational, nice environment and Tonya's energy. This is a description of one of Crete's best restaurants located in Sitia on Crete. If you going visit Sitia do not miss eating a dinner there. I am still missing your food Tonya!!!!
