If you do only one thing in Siteia, have a meal at Tonya's ( The Balcony). You won't merely be eating at a restaurant; you'll be Tonya's guest. She'll be taking her overwhelming personality all the way into the kitchen, and reappear with dishes you don't usually enjoy at restaurants. Not in resort restaurants, anyway. The ingredients: fresh and simple.... More

A combination of locally produced Cretan spices, vegetables, meat and fishes from the Mediterranean Sea. Lot of inspirational, nice environment and Tonya's energy. This is a description of one of Crete's best restaurants located in Sitia on Crete. If you going visit Sitia do not miss eating a dinner there. I am still missing your food Tonya!!!! Had a lovely meal this evening with two friends. We are travelling around the island and staying in SitIa for 3 days. Absolutely excellent food - quite a bit different from the usual taverna fare and beautifully cooked and presented. Excellent service and very good house white! Wish we'd found this earlier, although more expensive than any other restaurant we'd... More

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The entrees were superb: fresh colorful salads and pastries. We recommend the salmon for main. The atmosphire is very nice and happy, and very personal (the chef comes to visit every guest). Prices are a bit high, (we were family of 5, and they charged us for 5 times bread:12.5 euros...not cool!) But overall,... More

This is a nice restaurant, the place to visit if you are looking for something other than the typical greek taverna. The place is very nicely decorated and the atmosrThe food was well cooked, however, I would have liked to see some more variety. The personnel were very friendly, very helpful and kept checking that everything was all right. I... More

The food was fine, opne class up from the ordinary greek taverna, but never the less I found it too expensive (twice the price).

The atmosphere, food and personnel wre all outstanding. The owner and chef personally visted all tables and asked how the food was. Excellent wine and food. The menu is limited but covers all different tastes and food groups. It is not an inexpensive restaurant but not unreasonable for the quality provided.
