Pretty good coffee, but average service

Titles says it all. The coffee is quite good, and the treats are also tasty, but the service is a bit surly. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Still, it is worth a visit for a cup of tea or coffee.

The locals are onto something. They line up patiently with tourists and visitors for coffee, sweet treats, breakfast and lunch. The service can be a bit slow when there is a crowd but the wait is worth it. Grab an outside table and watch the chickens and happy customers.

The Roost is one of those places that always has a line no matter what time of day you visit. There is a wide variety to choose from. My favourite is the Montreal Smoked Beef on Rye. It is by far the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Of course when ordering my sandwich for pick up later I had... More

Great for family outings, food was phenomenal, potatoes a little dry. Pastries were excellent! Would definitely go again on a special day

This delightful venue offers a choice of bakery or bistro. As a gluten free eater I was delighted to find a perfect gluten free pizza option and my friends/guests raved about the regular pizza's. A small vineyard offers red and white wines as well as Blackberry, ginger and a desert wine which you can sample at the tasting bar. Richard... More

Whenever we get a chance to get out to the peninsula this is always a great stop. Love the fresh bread, and homemade treats.

Farm to table at its best just a short drive from the terminal at Victory International Airport. A superb menu offering many gluten free options and a staff of warm and engaging employees. On our first visit they had just used their last gluten free pizza crust so the manager invited us back tonight as his guest for the very... More

The Roost is a regular stop for our family. The soups and sandwiches are amazing and it's a quick and easy stop for an incredible chicken pot pie! Whether it's for a coffee, lunch, baking or a fresh loaf of bread, it does not disappoint! As locals, it is a wonderful stop for any visitors that come to see us.

I have been here numerous times and have enjoyed the ambiance - There are chickens running around and everything is fresh. However, I am not sure if I will go back just because of a vibe I have got of late. Lately, it has seemed very rushed and communication seems lacking. Last time I informed a server I had not... We were on the island recently for 3 days and stayed in Brentwood Bay... we visited The Roost every single day! Had sandwiches one day, breakfast the next, and bought a loaf of chipotle bleu cheese bread the last day on our way home. Everything that we tried was delicious! The place is really neat, has a country kitchen feel,... More
