Stopped at this restaurant for dinner on our latest trip. The restaurant was busy but we got seated within 10 minutes. We asked the waitress to serve us the speciality dishes fo the region. The food, the service was the best we had in our entire trip. Both children ordered pizza and me and my husband had all the specialitiy... More

(April 2013) We were staying in the countryside (Scarperia) and happened upon this restaurant while driving around. It was a Wednesday and technically 'off-season', and there weren't any other customers. They were so kind and the food was delicious! I highly recommend going if you're in the area.

Mirella is an awesome host, she treats her guests as Family. Here, you can eat homemade pasta. It is absolutely a culinary success! Traditional Tuscan flavors with a twist. My 5 year had a wonderful time eating there and playing around the villa overlooking Galliano.....

A great restaurant, that survived it's move from the hills above Vicchio to Galliano very well. Mirella is a great hostess and the food is simple yet excellent. Try the duck breast capaccio, the pasta con salsa tartuffata and the controfiletto. Yumm. The wild boar stew is great as well. Real Italy

For those who have not been in a while the Casa di Caccia has moved to Galliano. They still have the same great food they have always had but no longer do they have the spectacular view. Yes the menu remains unchanged and my favorite is still the ravioli stuff with smoked scamarzo and with a truffle sauce. The new... More

We had heard about this place but had opted not to go because it is so far off the beaten path. Then we took a wrong turn and ended up on the road there anyway, so we kept going. It is on the top of a hill overlooking a beautiful valley. It is small, and so when it is full... More

If you can brave the road to this restaurant it's well worth the trip. The views in this former hunting lodge are spectacular. The food is excellent; basic but tasty Mugello cuisine with simple ingredients cooked well. The recption is always warm and the wine list execellent. It's like dining at home.

In this region you can get much more value for money. The wild boar is dry, drowning in oil and almost tasteless. To much salt was used in all dishes we had. We did not experience this quality-to-cost ratio in any other restaurant in Mugello. The view form the restaurant is beautiful.

This country inn is not easy to find, but it is very well worth the trip on narrow paved and gravelled roads. What a wonderful view of Giotto country! I do recommend going for lunch unless you are VERY familiar with the area, since the last sign to the restaurant was almost missed. The chef is a master at wild... More
