We visited with friends, lovely menu, with local produce used, the sweet potato and goats cheese tart, was yummy, staff very attentive and friendly, my daughter who is a little fussy with eating, didn't like anything on the menu, and they gave her cheese on toast , did everything they could to make her happy, went out of their way,... Small pub with own micro brewery serving seafood. The crab sandwiches are excellent but tend to sell out within 1-1.5 hrs at lunchtime so arrive and order in good time. Four real ales available at time of visit - recommend!

Beautiful location in a former fishing village. Great food. World class beers brewed in their own micro-brewery. I hope heaven is like this!

We called at The Ship 3 times whilst in the area last week and could not fault it. The beer is absolutely lovely - I managed to sample their Ship Hop Ale, Sandcastles at Dawn and Pilgrim - all were superb and had the wife not nagged me I'd have sat and drank in the sun outside all afternoon! The... More

Menu choices are a nice change from the average pub fare. Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere in a pleasant setting - right by the beach

Called for lunch early April and the place was packed inside and out. When we went inside this pub seemed too rough and ready for our liking. It must have something to offer by the number of people there but the pub further up the road was more to our taste.

Love this place for a quick drink and a bite to eat before heading for a long walk but decided to book a table for Valentine's Day. Set menu which was lovely and fairly inexpensive for what you got. Service was spot on and I could not fault a thing about it. I would certainly go back again for a... More

You will not get a better location than this right on the sea front. have a walk up the sand dunes then stop in for lunch. They have their own micro brewery so if you are a beer lover this is the place for you.

We visited The Ship three times during our stay in the area last week. Twice just for drinks and once for an evening meal. Every time very friendly service and good atmosphere. Loved the brewed on the premises beers and managed to try quite a few different ones. The meal was fantastic. Limited choice of menu but all four of... More

Promotes itself for using impeccably sourced local ingredients. I don't doubt the veracity of this claim, but it's what they do with the ingredients that is so disappointing. They manage to reduce fine produce to the level of canteen food at mid market prices. We were advised on an earlier reccy that menus weren't available as they changed daily depending... More
