Lovely spot for a pint outside

Lovely place to stop for a drink. Splendid position, wonderful views out to sea. Beer brewed on site, only had one pint but spot on. Good birdwatching at the pool behind and on the coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle as well

We've been coming to the Ship for years since it first opened. We found it by chance on a walk and had the most amazing crab sandwiches. It was a great find tucked away in Low Newton. Over the years it has become more well known but still retained that charm. Last year when we visited we noticed that it... More

Called in here while on holiday, lovely beer brewed on site by their own mini brewery. It seemed very popular for food although we didn't try any

Beautiful beach walk with our dog up from Craster and back. Was a Monday so thought would be quiet but warm weather brought the crowds out and the chase was on to get to the pub early!!!! The pub is set back just off the beach and sheltered in an open courtyard with a large grass square; seating inside and... More

Popped in while on a beach walk, the beers great. Very rustic setting and take care going to the toilet my wife nearly hit someone stood behind the door. Very busy so don't expect a table without a wait

It was busy, the crab sandwich came out very quickly. The location was lovely. Customer service could have been a bit better although was very busy so this may have been why they were a little blunt whilst I was divering up what to have off the menu

Visited twice, 20 hours apart. First, sunny with the green outside the pub packed with people and the bar having a queue about 8 metres long from the bar to just outside the outer door - clearly staff could not cope with the trade. Second, drizzly dull morning and we were the only walkers in for 30 mins then several... More

Low Newton is a lovely place to visit at any time but especially on a sunny day. The Ship Inn is very busy and people come to enjoy the atmosphere and the variety of beers that are brewed on site. The menu unfortunately is somewhat limited and is basically centred on different kinds of bread for example kippers, ploughman's, crab... More

We visited the Ship inn on Saturday evening and enjoyed a lovely drink sat outside in the sun. The atmosphere was great and the staff very friendly. We had just come from a disappointing meal at The Joiners Arms so looked on to the amazing looking food with envy. We will certainly be returning to sample the Ship's Lobster! The... More

We walked along the beach and coastal path in the sun from Beadnell so had quite a thirst by the time we arrived at the Ship Inn. The pub brews its own beer and was a delight. Unlike some previous reports we were made most welcome and although it was extremely busy and we only had drinks we sat inside.... More
