When we were staying at the Hotel Maya Tulipanes in November 2013, this was one of the top rated restaurants in Palenque. We always had good service and it has all the Mexican classics you would be looking for, made with quality ingredients. It also has a great selection of American-type food if you are travelling with kids or non-adventurous... More

We stayed at the Hotel Maya Tulipanes from 15 to 19 February 2014 with two other couples. Initially we chose the Bambu because of it’s convience - we kept coming back because of the quality, selection and service. We ate breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks here over this period......although the T/A format forces me to only chose one category.... In... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It's a tourist establishment, located in a hotel, but they do some of the best margaritas we had in Mexico, and the service is attentive and kind. The food is also very good: simply Mexican classics, all done with good ingredients. Not too adventurous, but to be recommended! We went twice.

Good service, great and quite surronundings. Great for breakfasts and a late night snack. Nice mayan reproductions.

We ate all our meals here as we stayed at Maya Tulipanes. Great that we could come after a day of travel, hop in the pool and than dinner.

But the time it took to get the dishes after we ordered was slow. We had 11 in our group so that will slow things a little. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend this restaurant to a friend...

Who needs to start their day on a holiday with grumpy, scowling staff?! While the prices are fair and the food okay, the service is really bad. There is a nice courtyard to dine in that is very pleasant for breakfast.

When I arrived after 18 hours of travel, I wanted ceviche and guacamole without onions and they were very accommodating. Delicious. I asked for a habeñero sauce without onions. One waiter said they don't have it, but another over heard my request and brought it to me. Service was spotty that way. I ate breakfast there every day. Often they... More

I had studied in advance where we would eat at Palenque - - and every other spot on our 12-day Maya ruins tour. Palenque would be the only place we'd spend two nights in one place. It was also the most difficult spot about which good foodie scoop could be found from afar. I had resigned myself to two nights... More
