Best breakfast in town!

Las Tinajas is a gem (though you'll need good directions to find it.). This was the second time I had eaten breakfast there (this time with my wife and last time by myself in Jan, '13), and this restaurant does not disappoint! Delicious food, generous portions, great service, friendly prices. My... read more

This restaurant is within walking distance of our hotel ( Tulipanes ) and we had read the reviews saying the had ample portions. Being very hungry after exploring the ruins all day, we came here. We are very big eaters and let me just say the portions are GINORMOUS. We had ordered the stuffed bananas and a soup as an... More

It is a small restaurant downtown, and food takes over an hour to be served!!! we were really getting upset with the service until the food came... OMG it was AMAZIIINGGG!! it really was the best meal we had in our trip in Chiapas.... the servings are for 2 or 3 persons so... DO NOT order one plate each!! I... More

The food is standard Mexican. We had fajitas which was OK. One dish is enough for 2 to share, even then we left stuffed! The atmosphere is pleasant & service good. On the whole a nice restaurant & a good choice if you're hungry!

Nice location but the food I ordered was like hard as a stone - filete a la mexicana con arroz o frijol. Sounds so mexican but feels like chewing stones. The fresh juice is good. My friend's order was fine - filete asado con verduras, the meat is soft.

We ordered a T-bone steak and a fillet with vegetables. After a while we got informed that they had run out of the steak so we ordered a Newyork steak instead. This was ok but the french fries were very dark and tasteless, eventually old double-fried. The fillet with vegs was nice. No english.

Read the reviews and were looking forward to a great dinner. Not much for bebidas - out of Corona, out of Modela, etc. No mixed drinks on the menu so we settled for Sol beer. No problem we were ready for dinner and would get a drink later. Split a bowl of asparagus sopa - portion size was grande! Sopa... More

Great Chiapas food, home-cooking in a comfortable, easy atmosphere. Fabulous quesidilla camarones, best ever. It was really spectacular the first night, went back again, still good, but not exactly the same. Maybe a different cook? Still good. Totally cool place for dinner. Generous portions, reasonable prices.

As a vegetarian, I ate the vegetable salad which consisted of big chunks of boiled veggies, tomato and almost an entire crop of lettuce. My boufriend had a vegetables rolled into meat. You can easily order one portion for two people. Definately a good option when you are in town.
