Eating at Don Mucho's when staying in El Panchan

The biggest restaurant in El Panchan caters to tourists. The food is washed in clean water and prepared in sanitary conditions. I was pleased to see that the kitchen staff using the sink, soap & paper towel located just outside the kitchen. The menu is predominantly Italian (pizza/pasta) but you... read more

Nice surroundings, great vibe, but the service could be better. Cocktails were good. Toilet completely unacceptabel: durty, no toilet paper and only one for the men in a place with a few hundred customers....

The setting is attractive and lively, the food is good and pretty cheap for what you're getting. We were treated to a fire show, live music and salsa dancing and had a really fun evening. However unfortunately the service is terrible - so terrible we found it quite funny. Don't be surprised if you have a long wait, and the... More

You've been there. A cross between Chili's and Applebys, between the local BBQ and biker joints. Cold beer, good burgers, great breakfasts, average service, cold beer, friendly waiters probably taking hits out back, fancier dishes mostly Italian-ish, good local entertainment including fire dancers, cold beer, a bit of dancing, and generally a fun place to relax and maybe even make... This place had live music, jungle setting, good food, and prices were reasonable! Very accessible from El Colombre.

Don Mucho! What a great place! In the middle of the jungle you can find great food here. Breakfast rocks. Love the spicy onion mix that comes with it. After a few days of illness (caused by an other restaurant) my first real meal was the pasta pesto. I enjoyed it so, so much! Of course they also do good... More

Just a few feet before the entrance to the archeological site, take a sharp left onto a gravel road and then a right into the restaurant parking lot. We were there twice for breakfast -- they open at 7:15 AM. The breakfast menu is enormous. The food is well-prepared and abundant. The staff are great! The prices are very reasonable.

This place is seriously busy and not sure why. Ordering a beer and the waiting for it would take so long, we ordered 2 at a time for each person. Ordering anything took ages, and yet service charge automatically added. Extensive menu. But the pizzas and pastas ordered were not good. The Mexican starters were better. Atmosphere good (i.e lively),... More

I have a hard enough time getting quality Italian food in New York (yes I even had a so-so meal in a well known Arthur Avenue - Bronx establishment last week) So I would never have chosen this place if I wasn't tagging along with a young Austrian couple from my hotel. Spoiling cheese on completely bland quesadillas. Really? One... More

Bad quality, pasta swimming in water and tasteless. One main course arrived before the starters, one half an hour later. 10% tip is added to the bill for an inexistent service. We were overcharged and the waiter acted as we were lying. The worst restaurant we ate at during out 3 weeks in Mexico.
