Don Mucho's must be Palenque's best restaurant. It is charming, open air with lots of fun activities, live music in the evenings, and constant hum of international travelers. The food is excellent especially for vegetarians. Everything is fresh and well prepared, from the Sopa Azteca to the pizza and the pancakes. A definite must do, probably every meal, while in... More

The food was amazing and the service is top notch. The entertainment and drum and fire show have to say you cannt ask for any better. I will keep going there with my groups...

Every dish we have tried on their extensive menu has been delicious. We are vegetarians and there are many choices. Their ravioli and veggie pizzas are fantastic!

I don't expect much from restaurants in Mexico so was pleasantly surprised with the variety, quality and execution of the restaurant and menu. Place was packed, service was very prompt and quality of all the items was good. And did I say it was very, very reasonable. The entertainment was very cool. An overall outstanding experience.

Had there both breakfast and dinner. We did not stay at El Panchan or Margarita & Ed, but we came to this place from another hotel we stayed at, and it did not disappoint! The pizza was awesome, so were other dishes we ordered, but the atmosphere, live shows and all the people there in the evening - is what... More

The food in this area of Mexico is somewhat lackluster, and Don Mucho's fit right in. But we did eat here twice because at least it was cheap and lackluster. All of our meals both nights were fine, nothing wrong, just not exciting. The atmosphere was okay. The service was okay. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Good for people watching.

We stayed across the street at the Kin Balam cabins, and since this is the only restaurant for many miles around we ate most all of our meals here. We tried many different things and the standouts were the veggie and cheese omelet for breakfast (perfect for a long day at Palenque) the chicken sandwhich, and the tortilla soup. The... More

We had breakfast and dinner there, each one twice. Both are very good. The portions are huge sometimes,eg if you order pancakes for breakfast you will get two very big ones that can hardly be eaten. Both the Italian and the Mexican food are delicious. There is life music and even a fire show.

My wife and I spent five hours in this restaurant after concluding our tour of the ruins. Granted it is the only full service establishment where we lodged, at the entrance road to the ruins, it was an enjoyable experience. Good ravioli, handmade pasta with shrimp, appetizers, drinks and live pleasant music -all of this for $590 pesos. Service was... More

Average food, average service. It will do, just take it for what it is, or you will be disappointed. Late night bar and live music too. It's just outside the main entrance to the preserve and ruins.
