I went to Don Mucho last night and I am glad I did. It is outside Palenque (in the resort area, you need to get a taxi to go), but it is totally worth it. The atmosphere is a bit hippy, catering to any age really. There is good live music. The place is rather big, there are some artesania... More

Food is standard international fare - pizzas are quite good but don't live up to their hype in LP. Food is a bit expensive at times for what it is - but you don't have many other options other than to return to palenque town. Live music is nice and generally the atmosphere is good. Staff quality fluctuates heavily from... More

Very busy tourist restaurant serving a mix of Italian and Mexican food, cocktails ,etc. Service was a little slow due to the number of diners, but the food was good but not outstanding and prices were reasonable. Interesting live music (latin/rock fusion?) encouraged a few dancers.

Had a fun dinner here with live music and cocktails Food was fine – limited but adequate wine list and great atmosphere. The blue flamed Sacrificial Maya cocktail was fun. Staff were buzzy and attentive – place was packed. If you are driving parking in the car parking area is apparently not advisable as if it rains hard – as... More

I'm wondering whether the Don Muchos that is getting the rave reviews below can possibly be the same one that I ate at .... Admittedly we went for lunch, when neither the pizza nor pasta is available (whoever cooks them arrives at 3 we were told). Hard to imagine though that the Italian part of the menu can be so... This place in the middle of the jungle made our staying super fun and tasty. The food was delicious the prices are very much affordable and the whole experience there is great. They have live shows every night and the music is pleasent to the ears. Long story short- go visit this awesome restaurant!

Location, location, location. Enter this outdoor restaurant to the sound of howler monkeys in full roar. We ate there on two nights. The pizza is fantastic. We didn't try anything else. The waiter taught us how to drink tequila. It was packed both times we went and seems to attract a cool crowd. There is live music at 8.00 which... More

The food is good enough, but the ambiance is what captures your interest and it doesn't let go... Dining, drinking and sleeping in middle of the jungle really makes you feel like you're in a bona fide EXOTIC place!

The only place at El Panchan that can boast 0 cases of good poisoning (according to the locals) makes a great spot to wile away a few hours of an evening after trekking round the ruins. Good food, great local live music and reasonably priced means it gets busy so it has a great atmosphere. Although food can be a... More
