We went there today based upon reviews on here - unfortunately my youngest daughter proceeded to vomit once our order arrived! The people there could not have been nicer and their tea and tiffin were excellent ; we will definitely go back and hopefully spend longer than 10 minutes.

Delighted that your visit was prompted by our tripadvisor reviews but sorry you could not stay for long, due to your young daughter being unwell. Can a visit to Teacake cause over excitement?! With hope your next visit will be more relaxing and thank you for your kind review. More

Three of us went to this teashop on a Friday at around 3pm. The tea shop is in a wonderful period cottage dating from 1660 and is full of character. I believe they do a whole range of food but we had tea, cappuchino, a slice of homemade tiffin and two toasted teacakes. All the food and drink we had... More

Morris & Christine are excellent hosts of their little tearoom 'Teacake' which offers high quality coffee and a large selection of teas at very reasonable prices. They support local suppliers where possible to provide them with fresh breads, honey, mustard, apple juice, meat, vegetables & a range of other delicacies. The menu offering is made fresh on the premises including... More

Went to an antique fair in Orwell and finished a lovely afternoon with a delightful cream tea at Teacake in Shepreth. Homemade fare, large pot of strong tea and vintage, mis-matched crockery in a pretty converted thatched cottage. What a find!!

And not the chocolate variety! Locally sourced produce that tastes great. We tried the teacake (naturally), some cheese from 'Wobbly bottom' and local icecream. All great!

It is always good to read that locally produced products are appreciated as it supports local other small businesses like suppliers of our honey, mustard, bread, meat and apple juice to add a few more to your list. At Teacake we endeavour to produce as much in house as we can, time permitting! Thank you for the review and hope... More

What a wonderful find, a real gem. The little garden is lovely overlooking thatched cottages. The afternoon tea was served with style. The freshly baked scone, jam and cream one of the best I have tasted

A group of us stopped at Teacake as our mid ride tea stop. What a lovely little place! The scones were just coming out of the oven and the service was friendly and helpful. They staff coped well with our large group descending on them and we will most definitely will be returning.

Nice homemade food - portions rather modest though. Lady at the counter didn't look too friendly but this was made up for by the genial host.
