Description: This family run business is open year round. We greet every customer with a smile and try to make sure they leave feeling happy. We offer competitive prices combined with good service. On our menu you will find a variety of foods, ranging from pizzas and burgers to salads, soups and local delicacies. Try some of our new courses, such as our old school lamb chops and the classic Icelandic mashed fish called "plokkfiskur". Our newly built outdoor terrace offers a great possibility to enjoy your meal outside in the sun. Regularly, when the weather is good, we have a special barbecue menu with Icelandic lamb and other delicious treats. In the other end of our building we run a small grocery store where you can buy whatever you might need for your trip and much more. We look forward to your visit!

A large variety of pizzas and burgers is available, along with a few Icelandic dishes, from which we selected our meals - plokkfiskur (fish, potato and onion with a cheese sauce) and meat soup, which consisted of lamb with vegetables (carrot, potato, swede and celery). In fact,... More

We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your meal! But I'm pretty sure you made a typo there, fish and chips + chocolate cake at our current price should be just over 2000, not 12000 (which would be quite hefty!) Hope you enjoy your stay in Iceland! G. More

The cheapest restaurante we found in Iceland. Only has Pizzas, Burgers, Salads and Hot dogs, at least when we were there but its very nice and friendly, and the food is good. The only problema is it closes at 20pm, so if you are staying in the área this is maybe one of the only places to eat and you... More

Thank you for your kind words! We would like to point out that our menu grows considerably over the summer months where it is easier to serve a wider variety of courses. The same goes with our opening hours. During the summer we have open from 8 am until 22 (10 pm) every day! Hope you enjoyed your stay. G. More

Seeing the same buffet menu again at our hotel we were advised to go to Dalakofinn restaurant and we were not disappointed. Although you wouldn't tell from the outside located next to a N1 petrol station, the family that runs the restaurant serves some good dishes. Of course the local meat soup is available all day but we enjoyed a... More

We were camping through Iceland and just happened to pass Dalakofinn around lunchtime so we stopped in. The main attraction was traditional Icelandic lamb soup. There was a big cauldron of it on a table at the side of the small, but spotless and charming little restaurant. (It's listed as a grocery store on googlemaps -- I don't recall a... More
