Good food but a little expensive

Went to the Coach House for my birthday with my wife. Had been before but not for a couple of years. Was quiet at the time we went so got a table easily for 6pm (when the restuarant opened). Service was ok. Some dishes were expensive (steaks in particular) but others resonable. I had rib eye steak... read more

We have been here several times, but not for the last 6 months or so, I received and e-mail offer for money off, so we thought we'd go back. The food is excellent, very well presented in a Mastercheffy way, and really tasty. But it is ridiculously overpriced even though the food is excellent, but what will ensure I don't... More

Three generations of our family visited for a lunch today having never visited before and not really knowing what to expect - it certainly will not be our last visit. The location in central Potton is easy to find and the restaurant was beautifully furnished and comfortable Service was friendly and prompt. We all ordered different dishes and all could... More

This is our first visit to the Coach House - it is a busy friendly pub, recently refurbished giving it the relaxed style where friends and family can meet for a fairly quiet (bare floorboards) drink, coffee or meal- as we were not very hungry we had a couple of starters. My husband chose the mussels and I had the... More

We booked at short notice after work one Friday evening and got the last table (in the bar) at 6:30pm. Really enjoyable. It epitomises the best of modern english pubs - a gentle buzz of conversation from a mix of locals and visitors of all ages topped off by excellent food and service. The food is contemporary but not fussy... More

We phoned to book a table last minute & staff managed to juggle a couple of tables to accommodate us. When we arrived we were made welcome & able to have a drink in the bar before being taken to our table. We were in a room off the main bar - the whole place is really nicely decorated &... More

Much improved pub since our last visit about 3 years ago. Has an extensive menu with some of the dishes being excellent and others not. Some of the roasts were on the bloody side for us but would suit other people perfectly. The trout gravadlax was excellent but the cheese selection was a big disappointment. Good atmosphere around the pub.... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant! We're always willing to cook our meat for longer for those that wish, so next time please don't hesitate to ask! It's great to read that you enjoyed your starter, but disappointing to read that you weren't fond of the cheeses on offer. We try to rotate our offering regularly,... More

I love this place. Located right in the centre of Potton, overlooking the quaint market square. This pub/hotel/restaurant has oodles of atmosphere, with lots of comfy seating, a real fire, good coffee and a great selection of real ales that change regularly. Dogs are welcome in the bar and my four-legged friend especially loves to settle in from of the... More

Thank you for all of your compliments! We never get fed up with being told we're doing a good job, much like your four-legged friend we appreciate the positive attention! If you visit soon, you can see that we've made our menus more affordable by simplifying some dishes allowing us to retain the quality whilst getting the prices down. Hopefully... More

The staff there as also very friendly and polite, Belle is always there to greet you with a smile as does bar tender Ashleah who is always bubbly and there with a warm welcome. My partner and I have been here twice, once for mid-week dinner and the other Sunday lunch. Both times we were greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service. The staff are delightful and the beer, cider and wine is very tasteful! The food both times were very tasty and above average for your normal country dining experience. We will... More
