Great food

Went in on a very cold evening. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the whole environment was warm. The food was delicious. I had the Sea Bream which was cooked to perfection and the risotto it was served on was so tasty and I would happily have ordered it again.

The Coach House was heaving on the Friday evening I visited. This made for a lively, if somewhat noisy atmosphere. The service was excellent throughout but I must admit I was a little disappointed with my main meal. Though the choice was somewhat limited, I was not too bothered as I noticed the word pheasant on the menu and my... More

We were staying at the Coach House so decided to eat in. Very glad we did as the meal was equally as good for me and my vegetarian daughter. Desserts looked lovely but we couldn't manage them on this occasion

Booked a table here for New Years Eve. Two of us had steak. One sirloin and one rib eye, both were pretty tough/chewy. Apart from this the rest of the food was great. Service was very professional and friendly. Great selection of real ales and whisky. Would come again but probably wouldn't opt for steak.

Everything could have been great. Ambience, food, location all very good. Unfortunately the service was horrendous. The staff were pleasant however lacked good training to make this experience worthy of a second visit. I didn't see the waiting staff during my meal as I was sat in a side room. I decided not to go for pudding or coffee which I... More

We recommend that our business colleagues stay at the Coach House when they come to visit us and this week joined a couple of them for a meal. The bar was lively and welcoming and the beers great. The staff were very professional and friendly and the all round service was impressive. We ate three courses of excellent food and... More

Stayed at the Coach House for accommodation (see separate review). Highly rated. Food choice was excellent, portion size was perfect, quality of food excellent. I had the Coach House Burger...one of the nicest I've had in a long time.

Just popped in for sandwiches at lunchtime. Staff were wonderful and the sandwiches were doorsteps. Could not fault the place or the food.

Great food, well prepared and beautifully presented. Most importantly, it all tasted delicious! Ham hock starter - perfect size, lovely balance of flavours; sea bass main - pan fried, nice and simple, served with a selection of vegetables (all with an interesting little twist) shared with others on the table; panna cotta pudding - with blackberries and little pieces of...
