We stayed the night at the Pandy inn as a last minute get away and we loved it. The pub itself is full of character and atmosphere, everything you would want from an old pub. The owners and staff were helpful and friendly and the food was really delicious. We stayed in their accommodation at the rear of the pub,... More

Just read the previous review on the accommodation part of the Pandy Inn and wondered if the lady could have been to the same place as I went. Fabulous pub which would seat about 60 people, but has a lovely rustic feel and a lovely wood fire. The host was very friendly and attentive and the staff were extremely professional.... More

Parts of this pub date back to the 12th century when cars were smaller, so manoeuvring a modern vehicle around the side of the building to the car park is tight. It’s then up and down, higgledy-piggledy across the small garden and through a passageway to the entrance to the bar, where the decorations are an eclectic assortment overlaid on... More

We had a nice meal in this lovely old pub. Although we are both Vegetarian, the chef made a stir fry and a mushroom stroganoff both of which were delicious. There is a very nice atmosphere in the pub and the dining room and the service was first class. I would recommend the Pandy Inn for any visitor to the... More

Unassuming little pub in the village, but really friendly staff, couple of excellent ales and the food was fantastic - imaginative and very well priced. Ate here because we were at a B&B (Bage Pool) nearby, but really pleased we found this as pub as well.

Visit this Inn twice during our stay in Hay-on-Wye. Food and service was excellent. The only problem was that on our second visit they had run out of items on the sweet menu. Would visit again but before ordering would make sure they had a full menu on offer.

We chose the Pandy Inn following previous positive TripAdvisor reviews....and also because it had favourable online menu prices. The steak was fine but the rest of the meal was mediocre. The price in the pub was significantly higher than the price on the Pandy Inn web site, making this an unexpectedly expensive evening!

This was one of the best pub meals I have ever had. I had the Herefordshire beef and it melted in the mouth - delighted to have had it, but it has ruined steak for me now!

We go to the Pandy on the spur of the moment because it's our local. That means we know the menu, and tend to stick to the well-trodden mains of rack of lamb (check if they have it on), Madgetts farm roast duck, sirloin steak and fish and chips (excellent cod, sweet mushy peas, home-made tartare sauce). And we always... More
