Amazing Spanish Restaurant

The food was amazing and the services was wonderful, they were helpful and pleasant. We had the Slow Braised Ox Cheek and the Paella with pan-roasted market fish and it was food heaven. We even had a look around the small Gaudi inspired garden. The scenery was wonderful, looking out to the ocean... read more

We went to Casita Miro for lunch. Fantastic food. We tried most of the Tapas on the menu and there wasn't one we didn't like. My favourite was the Snapper. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside I would say is that we were there on a very busy day and the tables were quite close together. If... More

We felt rushed. The place is a tapas inspired eating establishment but even though we asked our female waiter to not bring our first 3-4 selections all together; this is exactly what happened 5-10 mins later. When I reproached her she pretended to not know of our conversation 10 mins prior. The food is interesting but definitely at the costlier... More

We have been before and loved it so bought some friends from the UK for lunch. We filled up our table with so much food and would have been happy with just the warm bread and dips for the starter but followed this with paella and lots more to share. The red sangria was particularly good and really reminded me... More

What a place!! Fantastic menu of all sorts of Spanish delights, washed down with a jug of sangria, you really couldn't ask for more. I've named it as one of my top spots on Waiheke in my blog: http://www.pilgrimwithaplan.com/have-a-love-affair-with-auckland/

My friend and I were drawn here by the idea of tapas and a wine to kick off a day of wine tasting on Waiheke island. We were greeted so warmly, had authentic spanish tapas and enjoyed a beautiful wine menu. Afterwards, we walked up to the hill and laid out and enjoyed another glass of wine. It was such... More

We arrived mid-afternoon on a Saturday and were greeted by the restaurant's owner, Cat. She was warm and welcoming, a sentiment which was echoed by our servers. The food was all delicious - we tried the breads & dips and two of the day's specials: whitefish croquettes and jamon. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu & wine selections... We arrived with no reservation on a Saturday and thankfully we were given a table in the shade. Food was excellent and the service was vibrant. Beautiful views over the vineyards and beyond. The Rose is a must to try. Highly recommend.

Miro was the first vineyard we stopped at, and set the bar too high for all that followed. We had a great tasting with George, walked us through all their wines, and gave us ample time to enjoy each tasting. Great value for money as well. The staff were great, and even let us sneak back in to buy three... More
