A friend took me here as she had been before as part of a special celebration. We were treated to superb service with a smile and great food in smart surroundings. I didn't know the village but it is very attractive and well worht a vist. When you do visit the Swan. I think they serve food for limited hours... More

An excellent rural pub that was recommended to us by Michael and Christine at Drinkstone Park B&B. It lived up to its billing. Great atmosphere on a Saturday night with good quality food.

Woolpit is an interesting town with a fascinating history and well worth an evening visit followed by dinner at the Swan Inn. The menu is innovative and service was excellent. Strongly recommended.

Have made several visits to this old Coaching Inn. While the style is in keeping with the age of the premises the food is up to date. Sometimes a group of 6 of us go but last time just 2. No-one has ever been disappointed with their meal. The various courses are written on blackboards and give a choice of... More

Good choice of food and warm welcome. Good value and in a really old pub. I'm happy to sit on my own when away on business

So we were on our way to Suffolk for a few days and wanted to stop for some lunch and a leg stretch. After consulting our Slow Norfolk and Suffolk (excellent book by the way)we found an entry for the Swan Inn Woolpit . So we dutifully turned off the A14 and ended up in Woolpit which is a charming... We were recommended The Swan by the owners of Drinkstone Park B&B & went for a meal & a beer. Pint of Adnams bitter was very good as was the food. The barman & waitress were very friendly, helpful & efficient. The environment is an ex pub, now eatery. Our only criticism is that the prices are high & hence... More

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a family wedding in Suffolk. Family group of 10 had dinner on the Friday night which was lovely. The ambience was great and Jonny and his serving staff whilst busy were very polite and efficient. Breakfast was absolutely magnificent. Two mornings we had full English breakfast made from excellent local products. The last... More

The Swan was recommended to me by the owners of the Drinkstone B&B. It was very easy to find, parking was easily accessible on the street and the service was very good. The menu is written on blackboards around the walls of the restaurant. As my eyesight isn't the best, I felt a bit awkward staring above the heads of... More

Popped in here for a meal after being let down by the state of the bull inn Woolpit, we were greeted by smartly dressed staff who were only to happy to find us a table, we then had 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine and 2 of the best tasting 2 course meals we have ever had and all for... More
