What a great pub/restaurant. Very attentive staff, charming host, spotlessly clean throughout especially the toilets! There is a very wide and interesting choice of dishes on the menu. We were a party of six and sampled 5 different main courses between us. All were excellent as were the starters and puddings/cheese board. The portions were of a good size and... More

The Moody Cow is a really nice Gastro-pub. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I ate the pigs cheek starter followed by bream, both delicious. You'll probably need to book.

We met my parents for Sunday lunch a few days before Christmas. I only booked the day before, but the lady I spoke to was extremely accommodating and managed to fit us and our two dogs in for lunch the next day. When we arrive, the lady had forgotten that we had dogs and had put us in the dining... More

A trip to Birmingham provided the chance to call on to the Moody Cow for lunch, and what a good call. I had beef and ale pie and the pastry is to die for. My good lady wife had the ribs and they were soooo scrumy. Service is personal friendly and professional. The only downside was that we had no... More

Went here in October for our anniversary. Went for a Sunday lunch and it was excellent. The landlord and staff offered excellent customer service and we're very attentive. The food was excellent and was probably the best Sunday roast I've had. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back to try the other menu.

I'd like to just to point out they are closed for renovation until 16 January 2015. Please check their website for further details. Regretfully we didn't do so and did visit today, shame as it looks an interesting place. We'll try again soon as the menu looks good. Website could be clearer as details are under opening times. Perhaps a... More

Thank you for your kind review. I am so sorry that you had a wasted journey. We have always closed for the first couple of weeks in January, whilst plaster and paint take much longer to dry, it is the time of year when our guests miss us the least. I do try my best to let everyone know through... More

Family members had recommended this little pub on the corner near the golf course. At first it looked really nice. Service was really pleasant. Food was on the boring side. Clean and fresh yes! Just bland, no creativity. No seasoning . It's a shame because it's a busy little pub but I think it's aimed more at the elderly and... More

This country pub which describes a few women I've come across, dishes up great fish and chips. Another one of my en route stops. Boasting a varied menu adequate wine list and a real open fire it has a nice atmosphere. A short drive off the M50 it is well worth a visit for lunch. I have never had dinner here... More
