I was really blown away with the quality and taste of the food in this relaxed and memorable pub restaurant. I felt relaxed and welcome from the minute I walked in and the service was attentive, not invasive. I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

We stumbled across the Moody Cow quite by accident when looking for somewhere to meet between our home in the midlands and my parents in Wales. Such a warm and friendly welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The food was amazing and everything is home made. They couldn't do enough for us and were brilliant with out... More

We were staying in local area and came across Moody Cow. As we had our small dog with us it was great to find a pub/restaurant that welcomed him and us. The food was amazing so much so we went back three more times and the menu changed every night. Chris the owner along with his lovely wife made us... More

Impromptu lunch (we live 5 mins away) in the sunshine. I had a proper pie - not a stew with a hat! - accompanied by thick cut chips and nicely seasoned vegetables. My wife had the Chicken Supreme and my lad the ribs. All really well cooked, extremely tasty and locally sourced. Brownie dessert was apparently very good as well.... More

My wife and I dropped in yesterday on the off chance we could be accommodated for lunch, and we're glad we did. The friendly staff were the first sign that this was going to be a great dining experience. We ordered our food and were told that because the dishes are cooked from scratch, the service time reflects this. We... More

After a long but successful day on the riverbank, a delicious piece of fish to eat, with homemade sauce and beautiful vegetables. Not to mention a nice cold beer - what could possibly be better? Thank you very much to all at the MC.

After a hard morning, we were so relieved to arrive to such a happy welcome, we had booked on the phone and there were even some doggie treats ready for our dog who goes everywhere with us. A mouth watering menu ... and we went for the burgers ... several perfectly prepared Pimms went down a treat as well and... More

I called in with my mother for a dinner stop with my mother having seen a sign on the round about. What a wonderful surprise and a lovely find. Already looking forward to the next trip so we can call for food! The menu was fab. We were in a rush so ordered quickly and amazingly the superb quality freshly... More

Came here as normal place we go to was closed for renovation. It was described to us as a pub with pub prices - it isn't. However don't let that put you off. You need to allow £30-£35 per head for a three course meal. There were four of us and we all had something different and the all arrived... More
