Saturday lunchtime feast

Recommended by American friends we had a delicious lunch yesterday. My chicken with potato parcel was moist and delicious. My husband thought his lamb hot pot was melt in the mouth tasty and my daughter enjoyed the ribs. We would have liked more vegetables. Advise you book as it gets very busy.

Called in on the off chance after hearing great things about the moody cow. Well it was a delight food fabulous service superb everything was spot on. It shows you can still receive fantastic service and food by a real pub. Not like some of the plastic chains which serve vile food. This was indeed a amazing experience and very... More

Have just returned from having the best Sunday lunch ever! The Moody Cow is a very friendly pub/restaurant, food is fantastic. I had pork loin and belly pork with crackling and homemade apple sauce, absolutely melt in the mouth! Hubby had Hereford beef, cooked to perfection, so tender. No hurry to feed you and get you out, you can stay... More

Our first visit here but relatives who suggested it definitely made a fantastic choice. We were 6 adults, a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old baby. It was Good Friday and they were busy but the food and service were superb. 2 had ribs (they said the best ever), 2 had pork and 2 had chicken. All... More

Great food, fish and chips absolutely fantastic. Fillet steak pricey at £25 however, it is what most pub/restaurants are charging and is was very very good. Excellent service. No complaints at all.

Having been caught out by pubs in the local area stopping serving food between 3 and 6 we were waiting with anticipation when the doors opened at 6. we were 4 hungry adults and a toddler who had been on the go all day! Despite being fully booked we were given a table on the understanding that we were out... More

We visited on Saturday evening (four adults and one toddler). We hadn't booked, but the landlady kindly squeezed us in (they were fully booked) as it was still early and they had literally only just opened for the evening. From the moment we walked through the door, the service was warm, friendly and very efficient. The food, as many people... More

Came for an evening meal on a recommendation from friends and we were not disappointed. Really good quality well presented tasty food. I would have preferred not to sit on the high stools as I felt insecure so in future would request the normal chairs and low tables otherwise cannot fault the place.

We had visited the local countryside and whilst I had driven past the Moody Cow many times I had never gone in. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, good bar area, the place was spotless, and the toilets were the best I have ever visited in Herefordshire. Then the Landlord came and chatted - What a nice guy! Building the community, happy to... More
