Very impressed

We went on a trip advisor recommendation so glad we did. The owners were so nice they managed to fit us in for Sunday lunch I had crab and sweet potatoe cakes and lamb with roasted garlic and mint. Both dishes were fantastic, we eat out a lot and this food is good. The staff and owners added to... read more

My wife and visited the Moody Cow a few days ago and had a wonderful time. We were glad we booked a table as this little gem of a country pub is always very busy. As soon as we walked up to the bar we were met with pleasent and friendly faces and after we ordered a drink, we were... More

On the recommendation of the boss l had the fillet steak and oxtail burger served on toasted ciabatta bread. I was not disappointed, tasty , enhanced by a garlic sauce absolutely yummy. Been there before a year ago, usual good pleasant service, no wonder place is busy.

Wow! We were staying in Ross on Wye and needed somewhere to eat on 2 consecutive evenings. Well we researched and found the "Moody cow" and based on the reviews, we booked in for both nights for dinner. Well, we we not disappointed. We were greeted on the first night by a very friendly lady who we later worked out... More

Called for Sunday lunch as had been visiting the vineyard near by (fully booked). Very busy pub but then that's a good sign. We sat outside which was fine as weather good but the wasps were a bit of a nuisance....a summer hazard. Our dog was very welcome and given his own treats. Personable owner and staff Quirky outside furniture... More

Nicely located between ross on wye and Gloucester we needed somewhere to eat after a days fishing on the wye. walking in through the prettily lit patio garden we were given a warm welcome in the bar and seated straight away. Obviously popular there were quite a few diners on this Tuesday evening. The manager took our order and seemed... More

Went here for Sunday Lunch. Exceptionally welcoming staff. We asked when we booked if we could take our dog, we were told that we could and we'd be seated in the bar. On arrival we were greeted and seated straight away and dog treats were placed on our table in a shot glass. The Sunday lunch was lovely with a... More
