What a great Pub come restaurant! I visited with my wife and our 9yr old son for an anniversary meal (I thought the name suited the event lol), and received a warm welcome in an old pub tastefully refurbished with a manageable but tempting menu of local fare. Dawn & Chris who run this establishment should be commended on the,... More

It's a long time since I visited The Moody Cow and the difference is amazing. The proprietor is lovely, knowledgeable and attentive. The menu is interesting and the food very good. Simple, well presented, hot and very tasty. Local produce and local ideas. No cheap kids' food, just smaller portions of the same excellent food served to adults, which my... More

The Moody Cow was surprisingly good. We chose it based on reviews and they were right. Lovely food, really relaxed atmosphere and wonderful hosts who didn't make you feel rushed at all. If you're in the area you will not regret going. A little pricey perhaps (although the bill was exaggerated by my wife and the birthday girl having a... More

The Moody Cow must rate as one of the most dog friendly establishments we have visited - and the food isn't half bad either! When we phoned to book a table we mentioned that one of our dogs is a greyhound (just to make sure there would be sufficient space around the table); no problem - in fact we were... More

my husband & I have today eaten the best ever tasting Sunday lunch at the Moody Cow, Upton Bishop, Herefordshire. We did not book & could see they were extremely busy with a table of 16 as we walked in. We were immediately greeted with a friendly smile & given a menu with drinks brought to our table (we chose... This establishment was taken over a few years ago by a very enthusiastic couple who are passionate about providing excellent service and giving value for money. The proof of how good this place has become is manifest when you realise that since this wayside pub has been re-borne it has managed to gain the Trip Adviser coveted 'Certificate of Excellence'... Thank you for your delightful review. We are so pleased that you have enjoyed Sunday lunch with us, you are right what we do isn't rocket science, in fact it is very simple indeed although it does require a little bit of chemistry, physics and maths, for me it is most important that we are authentic in all that we... Thank you for your fantastic review. It is most rewarding when our guests return again and are equally pleased each time they come. At the moody Cow we are very aware that we are only as good as the last meal that we served and we are constantly finding ways that we can improve, the test will be that if... More

The food and service were excellent. My husband had the slow roast pork belly and I had the lamb - both were superb, really beautifully cooked and so tasty. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Ate here today-sat outside sheltered from sun under parasol; we had sea bass and homemade burger; both beautifully presented, staff delightful, service excellent-unassuming and 'on-the-ball'. Thank you for a very pleasant friendly experience. S and N Cheltenham
