Good food

Nice pub with good range of food on the menu. The fish pie is quite big which was great. It came with a very nicely cooked selection of veg - could have eaten a few more veg as we both love them. Good value.

Lovely menu with a good selection, could not fault the food. Sadly, the service was rather slow. We asked to buy drinks when we arrived, advised to sit down and we would be served took them 30 minutes. Definitely recommend, but not if you are in a rush.

Kath was excellent, made us feel right at home, the food was superb, no complaints, went twice over the three nights because it was so good, would have gone three times but unfortunately no food served Monday nights.

Just had a great pie in the Red Lion, never fails. We eat out a lot and this place just has to be the best in each and every way.

The choice on the menu is excellent. I chose the rib eye steak & it was cooked exactly how I asked, perfect! The portion size was huge, and quality of ingredients excellent. Hubby had the beef lasagne & this was really good value as it came with salad, garlic bread & chips included in the price! Everything was nice &... More

Another excellent Sunday Roast with the most tender Sirloin beef. Served with fluffy roast potatoes, mixed roast veg - parsnip, squash and celeriac. Large Yorkshire pudding, carrots, green beans, swede, cabbage and broccoli and proper gravy. Shame it is so far away.

Been meaning to post a second review for the Red Lion for some time now. We went previous Saturday & both had the Special Fillet Steak, excellent best since 1927 Restaurant Malta. The following Tuesday we had been busy working in the garden so instead of cooking we went again. I had Chicken Peri Peri & my wife Chicken St... More
