A treasure just off the end of the M50.

Met up here for a family meal on the way back from holiday. Very friendly welcoming staff, good atmosphere, and easy to find as on the A49. Great "pub grub" but with a big menu, a lot of different cuisinces and lots of choice. the specials list was almost as many choices as the main menu... read more

Visited for a bank holiday Saturday lunch, after reading all the reviews i had high expectations, very friendly staff but i felt the food was just average, veg looked a bit off colour and ribs were quite flavourless, chicken with blue cheese sauce did not have any taste of blue cheese.....was ok but would not rush to return.

We live 3 miles from the Red Lion but had never been until July - we have since been back 3 times. The owners since 2012, David & Kath, have really brought the highest traditional standards back to the Red Lion and to the local area. The exceptional warm and friendly welcome is more than complimented by superb food both... More

This has been my second camping weekend here this year with friends. We all love the place, food is excellent, between us, we ordered quite a range of different food off their menu Friday evening and everyone in the group was full of compliments about the food. The Sunday Roasts are excellent, I had the Beef Sirloin which was some... More

The red lion has great food, and generous portions. The dessert list is exquisite! As a vegetarian it's not always easy to find something to eat at a pub, but no problem here. Also lots of fish options for anyone that's only half-veggie too! I thoroughly recommend coming here to eat and have been back a couple of times already.

Pulled over here on the off chance en route from west Wales to Hampshire. Nice break to the journey and kids had a nice run around in the play area. Good food and nice welcome. One suggestion - more gluten free options please!

We have a few local pubs near us however, after trying all of them we have only come back to the red lion ( practically every week). Not only do they offer great food but the service we get there could not be beaten by any! Very personal and welcoming. It's also great if we just want to go down... More
