A quality meal with good food and excellent service. Although the pub was full of diners, our family party of 21, including 2 children, was made very welcome.

We visited today and had lunch for two. Varied menu and good selection of ales. We ate in the bar (alone) although there were several couples in the restaurant side who were dining. The food was very tasty and value for money. We had to wait about 20-25 minutes for our meals but that's because they were freshly cooked. The... More

We are so very lucky to have this pub so close to home. Kath and Dave have done an amazing job at making it what it is. Excellent food, superb service, varied local ales and if you ask nicely they'll even do take away fish and chips, easily rivalling the shops! And you can't beat their yummy Sunday lunches.

Had a fantastic Sunday roast for my girlfriends birthday, not so local anymore but decided to travel as we were recommended. The beef was very good and everyone else enjoyed there meals. Good selection of beers too.

Very tender tasty roast sirloin of beef is what we had along with a large Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, roast parsnip and a dish of vegetables which consisted of carrots, swede, broccoli and cabbage all cooked to perfection. Very busy but all service was excellent. I was told afterwards that they did 96 covers. Crème Brule best I've... More
