An impromptu Saturday lunch was jovially served by an enthusiastic young female. Whilst waiting for our sandwiches, which were served on lovely homemade bread, we enjoyed the company of the landlady. The setting is authentic, appears to have dedicated locals drinking and offers tasty meals at sensible prices. There is evidence of a committed and good humoured team approach. We... More

Visited this pub the other night for dinner. It was very busy but we enjoyed our meal - good value for money.

Visited this lovely place after an enjoyable morning spent at the butterfly park and maze at Symonds Yat. Sat outside in the beautiful gardens as the weather was nice and my young daughter enjoyed playing in their play area. All our meals were delicious and great value. Really good service from staff. Defiantly worth the 10 minute car journey from... More

As always- a wonderful meal and good service. This one particular Saturday evening was spoilt only by a young uncouth waitress who seemed incapable of taking and delivering our drinks in a polite manner. Such a shame, because my family and I visit The Red Lion regularly and think the current owners are doing a wonderful job!

We don’t normally respond on trip advisor with a negative attitude but on this occasion, to save other businesses in the area having a visit from these people we have found ourselves with no option: Mr Colin George and associates visited our restaurant on a very busy Saturday evening, with only one objective - Free Meals! The experience from start... More

Found this pub restaurant late in our stay but spent our last two evenings there as the food and service were excellent. Lots of choice, quality and quantity, what more could you ask. Added to this, Kath, the proprietor, was a fantastic host, friendly, attentive and helpful; she even bought her laptop to the table so we could see pictures... More
