We stopped here while on vacation and we were not disappointed. I had the Caesar salad with smoked chicken and my husband had a veggie wrap. Both were delicious and different from the status quo. No complaints and we would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Considering the lack of options in Big Sur we were pleasantly surprised by the quality, service, and cost of the meal here. We enjoyed everything we ordered and were pleased we decided to eat out here.

My husband and I stumbled across this place after having run away from Nepenthe's steep prices (just to give you an example: at Nepenthe the least expensive item is a basket of fries for $8.00 + taxes... ok you pay for the location and the awesome view, but come on!). Ok, so after having said "no thanks" to Nepenthe, we... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way through and we were impressed with the food. It doesn't claim to be a romantic spot. It is a pub type grill which is known for its meats. My husband ordered a half size of nachos and it was HUGE... he loved them, especially the shredded pork. I got a chicken salad... More

We stopped here on a drive up the coast. It was the weekend between Christmas and New years, so every place to eat was really crowded with long waits, so we kept driving. We stopped here and there was no wait, but didn't realize there was only one server for the whole place until after we were seated. Poor girl... More

We recently had a few days down in the Big Sur area, and we had an evening meal at the Redwood Grill. Both meals were very good, prices were reasonable, and the waitress was nice and friendly.

The restaurant has that relaxed Big Sur type setting. It feels like an old saloon. It is very woody inside but the food is very fresh and very well prepared. However, if you prefer food that is not at all unique, i would not suggest eating here. The grilled veggie wrap uses brown rice, for example. The mixed green salad... More

The food here is excellent and the portions are huge. We started with the hummus & pitta and it was pretty much a meal on its own. Appeared to be freshly home made, we took half away in a box for the next day. Our mains were burritos, and they were delicious, again freshly made and tasting superb. They were... More

We had stopped up the road at the Big Sur Bakery/Restaurant only to find that they weren't serving food. We are so glad that we found this place instead. The menu was quite impressive and it was easy to see that the chef loved good food. It had an interesting choice of food and we settled on the sliders with... More

On our way down to LA from San Francisco, stopped at the first place we found for breakfast and what a find. Sat at the old school counter and had a delicious huge bowl of oatmeal with fruit and brown sugar, my better half claasic eggs over easy and sourdough toast.
