Nice and Cozy place. We had and very good sandwich with roastbeef , the Bread was very tasty and the bakery salat was the best ever. The garden was lovely.

Way over priced for the food. Your definitely paying for the atmosphere & view. It was a $200 dollar meal for 4. The pizza was good, not worth $25 for a personal. They charged for bread, which was stale. The New York strip steak was ok. They gave me 2 small new potatoes as my side. everything is a la... More

I Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't that crowded. Great chai tea and nice quiet patio under the trees!

We made the drive down 1 to Big Sur mostly to enjoy the scenery. However a very nice waitress had recommended we go as far as the Bakery and pick up some things. We were quite disappointed to get there to find a mostly barren display case at mid-day. Didn't end up buying anything because there were only about four... More

The bakery feels a little like it has been there for decades, perhaps it has? It has a relaxed, boho feel and a limited menu based around their wood fired oven, however despite the limitations it still offers everything from a sandwich, pizza and some plates. Service was good and the food was good. It does what it says on... More

I've been hearing about this place for a long time. I'm told that this is a local favorite and it's a must-do in Big Sur. We went for dinner and, while it wasn't bad, there wasn't anything special going on. We drove by on a weekend afternoon and the place was flooded with cars, so the "secret" has apparently caught... We found this place by accident just driving by at lunch time. We almost left because the line was long, but I am glad we stayed. I found a table outside while my husband waited in line and ordered. Staff gives you a number for your table and brings your food to you. There are actually more seating areas than... More

One of the most charming restaurants in Big Sur, although actually the ambience itself is not one of the top qualities. Whether you are coming for "just" pastries and drinks from one of the top baristas created (Chris), who gets help from the finest coffee, or brunch on weekends, or lunch, or dinner, you will find attentive, personal service, a... Spent 3 glorious days in Big Sur and decided to stop at the bakery the morning of our departure to grab a coffee and scone to go. There were two customers in line a head of us, so we thought it would be a short wait. My boyfriend ordered a coffee and I ordered a latte. He received his coffee... More
