We have been coming here for about 20 years and for the last 10 or so the food has been 5 stars. Now, under new management, they barely rate 3 stars. The pork belly, once sizeable, now is the size of my thumb and hidden in random vegetables. The tuna crudo is a whole new concept and not worth ordering.... More

We stopped for lunch on a recent trip from Los Osos to Carmel. We have tried a number of the places in Big Sur over the years and as far as class this is the best so far. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating with views of the ocean and the surrounding hillsides. The service was excellent... More

This restaurant is charming, rustic, laid-back, and delivers exception food servings. You get to choose two apps, a main course, and dessert. Go for it!

While the chefs have changed and the choices have decreased over time, the view is spectacular and the food never disappoints! I still miss the chicken enchiladas that they were once famous for and there are fewer choices every time I visit, but the choices that are available are done to perfection and the ambiance can't be beat.

We enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinners at the Restaurant at Ventana. Breakfast and lunch were great, dinner was a bit tricky with a limited menu.

Food this time was excellent. Small portions and Large prices. But worth the drive and cost. Have been coming for 30yrs. the restaurant has been pretty much the same the whole time. But, now because of new management. It has a new menu compared to the last time we can about 5rs.ago. The outdoor patio is marvelous if you come... More

Great place for lunch: We visit the Big Sur area every couple of years. One place we always stop is at Ventana Canyon Resort for lunch. The restaurant is located on top of one the hills with a great view of the ocean. The outdoor patio area is beautiful and provides a comfortable place to eat no matter the time... More
