Driving back from Carmel on the Pacific Coast Highway, my husband and I were looking for a place to stop for lunch and saw the sign for Cielo at the Ventana. We recently stayed at Ventana Inn for four days and ended up having all three dinners at Cielo (after Ventana's breakfast, we could never do lunch!). we've dined at Cielo on a very sunny clear day. We were seated outside and view was superb. Food was good but portions were too small -- for the price they charge. I just visited Cielo for lunch and enjoyed everything. Of coarse it has a magnificent setting being located on the Ventana Inn properties with its expansive view of the Big Sur coast and the Pacific Ocean.
