The Big Sur Roadhouse features Chef Brendan Esons delicious California cuisine with fresh, local ingredients, using a variety of house made products . Big Sur Roadhouse

Lovely experience all round. Thoroughly enjoyed its low key, elegant and warm vibe. Host was great, food delicious, decor unpretentiously stylish with a varied crowd. Highly recommended.

I loved this place. We were there in December, and it was nice and quiet. Food was very good and service was excellent. From what I observed on this section of Big Sur (40 miles) this is best place to dine. I am excluding, of course. Ventana and the Post Ranch.

Big Sur is magical but there are somewhat limited dining choices. Roadhouse is very good although there is a somewhat limited menu. We tried the seafood stew which was very good and a good selection of wines.

First, there's Joseph the bartender, great guy who knows his wines. Then there's the chicken Cacciatore, FABULOUS, its been several days since our dinner there and we're still salivating over this delicious meal. We also ate breakfast there and the homemade granola with strawberries. was yummy. Wonderful restaurant and equally good service.

Ate here twice during our time in Big Sur. Blown away each time by the food and atmosphere. Fun spot with gorgeous decor. The steak and the chicken cacciatore rock. Impressive wine list, good parking. Can't wait to go back!

Super cool atmosphere and awesome, creative dishes. I also thought they had a great selection of Beers and Wines. Gluten free selections are warranted, like all kinds of OMission. Outstanding Breakfast... The biscuits were to die for!

We enjoyed a simply amazing meal and incredible service at Big Sur Roadhouse. Before dinner we took a walk with our drinks down behind the Roadhouse into the forest. It was a wonderful experience and set the tone for the evening ahead. We felt we had experienced something really special due to the setting, quality of the food and warm... More

I had been warned several times that I'd need reservations to eat here at night. However, it was 4 pm and I was hungry from a long day of hiking and driving. I stopped in and requested to sit by the outdoor fire. I was given the Pupu menu (not sure what they actually called it--but small appetizer like snacks).... More

The restaurant is a hidden gem. Pun intended. The ambience was great, the staff was nice, and the food was good. Being used to actual creole cuisine, this was a bit different - it had a California twist.
