I can't remember when I last went to a restaurant that was so pathetically bad on every level. 1. Food is overpriced. 2 sandwiches with fries cost $27. 2. Food isn't even good. Fries were cold, sandwiches awful. 3. Service is terrible. The waitress took her time getting us menus and was not particularly friendly. The place wasn't particularly busy... More

Over priced and poor quality food - tough burgers and cold fries. The service wasn't so much rude, as disinterested, and they automatically charged a gratuity because I don't really believe they would get one often if they diidn't. They have a prime spot on Hwy 1, and my opinion is that they don't try because they don't think they need... More

We stayed the night at the lodging next door as my wife did not want to travel at night as we drive on the other side of the road in australia. We had both dinner & breakfast at the whale watchers cafe & found this place brilliant & the indoor decor .was fascinating with all the marine & nautical items. The... More

As with most other reviewers we stopped at the Whale Watchers Cafe as it was the first place after a long drive. Service was sloppy, by the time we ordered we were the only customers yet they still managed to get the order wrong, I also had to ask for butter and jam for our toast as they didn't bring... More

This place at Gorda Springs gets uniformly terrrible reviews. Yes, the service is slow (a single waitress for the entire restaurant--patience is a virtue, especially with the view of the ocean). Yes, it's expensive (gas is $5.60 a gallon next door and a slice of pie is $9.95). Now despite that premium price we paid for a large piece of... More

I guess they know that you got nowhere else to go! Stopped here for some lunch, paid $17 for a sandwich with some day old french fries! The service was the kicker though. I swear that my server hated the fact that I exsisted. I saw her roll her eyes at serveral other customers as well. Horrible!!! I wouldn't give... More

Thought that our experience here was a one off till I checked the reviews-just wish we'd read them before! As with others, we stopped here as it's the first place after a pretty long stretch of road. Sat down & our drinks were served in minutes.....waited for our food.....30minutes later the waitress (if you could call her that, she seemed... More

We stopped to eat here on our way south after a very long stretch of absolutely nowhere to stop, hiking trails, and construction slowdowns. The server was friendly and welcoming, with a good sense of humor. Burgers and fries were as good as most places. Service fine. Outdoor seating with ocean view a plus. Way overpriced. Property could use some... More

Sat down and after waiting 15 minutes with no service could tell we could be in for a L-O-N-G lunch. Left.

Do not stop there. We wanted to get a coffee there. Unfortunately, only regular coffee was available there. It took like 15 minutes until a waitress came. She was very unfriendly. The coffee was standard but very expensive. The bathroom was not cleaned for quite a while and shabby. We wanted to pay then, but it was said we have... More
