The location is beautiful. However once we sat down, the place was full of flies. The table was so sticky that the napkin was stuck to it. The manager and a young woman were inappropriate for a place inviting in the public. We paid $30.00 for on bowl of clam chowder, one cheeseburger plate with fires and two ice teas.... more

This restaurant was incredibly overpriced and the food was marginal at best. Great view. We had the most annoying server we have ever encountered. He thought he was very cute and spent most of the time running around the restaurant doing nothing. A woman at a table near ours sent back her too rare hamburger. After 10 minutes the cook... more

For starters, this restaurant has a great location! We actually saw a whale in the water as we were eating dinner here. Now for the bad stuff. VASTLY overpriced for what you get. Want soup? $12.50. $15 Chicken Strips, and that was an appetizer! The food was good, but not $30 per entree good. The bill came to something like... more

Stopped here for lunch while driving up the PCH. We sat outside which was great because the view was absolutely amazing. Service was good as was the food. Everything was a little overpriced but worth it as the scenery was stunning, and the people friendly. more

On our spring break trip, we stopped by the place to have lunch. We paid the meal by credit card and tips in cash (the waiter specifically told us, tips are only in cash), after we got the credit card statement and found, they charged us almost $13.00 more than what the bill was. We not go there again for... more

On our way to Monterey Bay we stopped at this place. View was beautiful, decor was charming but the food was extremely overpriced and well not so good. I ate a dry $18 steak sandwich. On a happier note beer in a bottle was cold, our calimari was good, clam chowder was ok and all three were not on our... more

First of all, this place is absolutely FILTHY. I cant believe the health department hasnt shut it down for the millions of flies infesting the place and sticky, dirty tables. We were so desperate that we ordered a really bad ham sandwich that cost well over $10 and was your basic sandwich bread and lunch meat. The sodas were flat,... more

We ate at the Whatchers Cafe recently and it was overall a pleasant experience. We were the only patrons in the place when we first walked in and were told the credit card machine was not working, we had to pay in cash. That was fine with us. We chose a seat outside just across the street from the ocean.... more
