We stopped here for a quick bite, and had little expectations in terms of the freshness of the food. We were pleasantly proven wrong- we had fish and chips. It was PERFECT. The best fish and chips i've had on this coast. Even the chips were fresh and crisp, and hot. To add to that, the service was quick. Sitting... More

We pulled into the Whale Watchers on our way heading south on Highway One. We ordered two coffees and two pieces of cheese cake, the coffee was cool and the cheesecake was $9.99 a slice, none of the cakes were priced for obviouse reasons. In total we were charged over $28 for two coffees and two small pieces of cake.... More

I have no idea where these other folks ate, but I had a great experience at the cafe. There was no server when I walked in as the server was pulling double duty at the store and restaurant, but the cook hooked me up with a great burger. When the server arrived she was pleasant and greeted all the customers... More

It was very busy but we were happy to find something along this remote stretch of highway. The food is expensive but the portions are absolutely huge. Thankfully we shared a wet burrito. It was OK but my husband didn't feel well for the rest of the day - likely the chicken. I wouldn't return.

Most of my reviews are positive but in the interest of fairness I want to warn travelers to avoid this place. The sandwiches feature sliced meat from the 7-11. The place in understaffed hence poor service. We bused our own table just to sit down. The French Dip sandwich for $15 was a dry bun with thin sliced beef like... More

Dark haired lady (RUDE JUNK) Told my wife and I and two young children to "take a seat" .......when nearing the table she said "no actually you can grab a sandwich from the gas station next door!" WHAT ???? We gave her the what for. Told her to eat happy cereal tomorrow morning and said we would post this experience... More

Me and my husband have stopped for breakfast at Whale Whatchers Cafe' in the beginning of june, 2014. It was exactly what we were looking for and even more! The place has a lovely atmosphere, staff was very welcoming. The breakfast and the view towards the ocean were perfect. Overall, couldn't be happier that morning!

After a longish drive, we pulled into the Whale Watchers Cafe in the hope of a coffee and perhaps a cake. We walked into an effectively empty place and sat at the bar; "You can't sit there as I need to set up" was the welcome from dark-haired female server. We said we only wanted coffee etc. and was told... More

A places that had diners of different nationalities. The lady who served us was running around but coped wonderfully. The cat Noodles was kind enough to let me tickle him, I am missing my cat whilst travelling. The food was amazing, I had the eggs benedict, yummy. Came with the best Hash Browns I have ever had and hubby had... More
