We were taking in the unsurpassed coastal scenery from Cambria to Big Sur. The views from the restaurant were stunning. The Sockeys salmon salad is probably the best meal I have had, perfection!

We stopped here on our way from Hearst Castle to Monterey and I'm so glad we bypassed other options and stopped here because the scenery, service and food were awesome. It sells itself as having the top 10 Fish & Chips in the USA and while the fish wasnt really my style, the fries were awesome and being the french... More

A place we'd have probably not stopped if not recommended to up by our tour guide Dave, but it was a fabulous lunch. The fish and chips are said to be one of the top 10 in the US and they didn't disappoint. More than enough to share, but we didn't. The views from the dining room were amazing. Deanna... More

We stopped at Lucia Lodge just before the sun went down on the big sur...we were camped out just down the road from the restaurant and decided it would be our food stop. Amazing views, perched at the top of a cliff overlooking the Pacific. I had the Fish which was delicious. Bring your camera, and try to get a... More

It appears the restaurant has been upgraded. It's pleasant, appropriate and in good condition. Good service. They are trying to do a good job in the kitchen and hit it with an arugula salad, light dressing... delicious. The entrees were good but could be better. This is probably because of the time of year (january) and the low demand at... More

At dusk we walked to the main lodge, located on Highway 1, for our evening meal. Lucia Lodge is open to the public for lunch and dinner but only serves breakfast to those who stay at the lodge. Even though the resort was sold out, the dining room was fairly empty with only two other diners when we entered. Lucky... More

Dining area holds about 40 people. Everything except the view was good. The view was GREAT. Service was good. Food was good and expensive. I would be ok with expensive if the food was GREAT. I really don't understand why so many restaurants slice the potato into shoestring size slices. Why? There is nowhere to store the taste of the... More

I can't speak for the restaurant, or the lodging, but I can tell you that the little general store and gift shop is NOT very good. I base that mainly on the very dour, unfriendly and unhelpful person at the counter. She actually had a jar that said "Got a question? Tip Here!", I mean really if you have a... More

Enjoyed a great lunch at Lucia Lodge while traveling south from Monterey after a hike at Big Sur. Veggie sandwich, fish tacos, eggplant parm sandwich and salad were all really fresh and tasty. Prices are steep. Battered fish looked and smelled really good too. Very nice service. We ate outside on a chilly day and enjoyed the spectacular view from... More
