Not too many other choices for dinner

We were staying at the lodge, which was totally fine, but the restaurant wasn't so great. There aren't many other places you can get to without driving for 25+ minutes, so we gave it a shot. I think the prices should have been lower for the quality of the food. They also serve the continental... read more

Lucia Lodge is in a beautiful spot and the staff is sweet. The restaurant is expensive so one should consider reviews. My husband and I shared a ceasar salad which was large but the house dressing was strangely hot. My husband's chicken was undercooked--the thigh was bloody. I ordered a cod fish with a mix of brown and wild rice.... More

We stopped here last week on the way from Monterey to San Luis Obispo. It looks quite ordinary from the road but we had an amazing lunch (although we didn't manage to finish it all with the large portions!). The restaurant has a great view over the Pacific and we were able to watch whales out at sea while we... More

stopped for lunch on 17th March....on our way from San Luis Obispo to Monterey.......we had superb vegetarian sandwiches washed down with apple juice while seated on the sun deck, one level below the road, enjoying the spectacular view.......a very energetic and attentive Weston attended to us.....since they were unable to provide freshly squeezed orange juice, Weston was happy to provide... We were very surprised with the selections on the menu. There was so many things we wanted to try. I loved the cheese plate.

Driving north from Cambria, Ragged Point was very crowded, so we kept going for another half hour and stopped for a late lunch. Gourmet sandwiches, friendly staff, and a great view!

Go for the famous fish and chips. Its a huge dish, you might want to share with your friend, but it is delicious. Friendly staff makes you feel at home, but with a great view from the ocean.

We stayed one night in one of the rooms. The sun set, and really didnt want to continue our drive along the coast in the dark, so we stopped. We were able to catch a fabulous dinner (five star flavor)(we shared a dinner and got alot of food for two) The people working there were just wonderful. They even sold... More

Stopped for a late lunch after being stuck in traffic for construction. Shared the fish & chips, plenty for 2. Pricey, but there's nothing else for miles! Gorgeous views of Big Sur, good food, great service. We heeded the advice of our waitress and drove up to the hermitage (she mentioned truffles). A beautiful view, crazy winding drive. All in... While staying at Lucia Lodge there are not many options unless you want to venture out a fair bit and once you’re here you want to enjoy the place as much as possible. The restaurant was a bit pricey and has a fairly limited menu, but with great views and a clean and fresh stylish seating area, we thought it... More
