Stopped for a late lunch after being stuck in traffic for construction. Shared the fish & chips, plenty for 2. Pricey, but there's nothing else for miles! Gorgeous views of Big Sur, good food, great service. We heeded the advice of our waitress and drove up to the hermitage (she mentioned truffles). A beautiful view, crazy winding drive. All in... While staying at Lucia Lodge there are not many options unless you want to venture out a fair bit and once you’re here you want to enjoy the place as much as possible. The restaurant was a bit pricey and has a fairly limited menu, but with great views and a clean and fresh stylish seating area, we thought it... More

We stop there but decided to move on as the staff reception is pretty poor. We will not go back there in a hurry for sure.

On our road trip down the coast we got hungry and imagined eating good fish outdoors overlooking the ocean on a cliff and maybe spotting some wildlife. Thankfully, we stopped here and got all we were looking for. At first glance, the lodge/restaurant looks rather rustic and didn't know what to expect but we sneaked a peek at the view... More

We stopped at the Lucia Lodge for lunch en route towards San Francisco. It is not a large restuarant, rather a small place with an area to eat both inside and outside. The outside balcony allows for sensational views to the ocean and alone make it worthwhile to stop. But it also offers more than just great views - the... More

Lunch at Lucia Lodge was one of the highlights of our drive up Route 1. Everything was pleasing: the service, the food, and especially the fantastic view of the coast and the sea. I'll never forget it.

The salads were great too and the view from the window table is awesome. I didn't like the foreign travelers who didn't think twice about their screaming kid!!

The fish and chips were HUGE and very tasty! To enjoy such food overlooking the sea was wonderful, the service was first rate and the coffee much better than the restaurant grade coffee usually served! Nice store and gift shop next door, would like to have stayed but no cabins available when we visited

We did not lodge here only due to the queen beds, not so great for mother/daughter weekend. The location is unbeatable, however, so on our way back north we stopped for late lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor options with absolutely mind-blowing views. The fish and chips were the best I've had anywhere, anytime, and the salad was incredible,... More

Stopped here for lunch (twice!) - great menu. We had the salad - lots of variations & wonderfully fresh. There is an outdoor area / terrace with the most stunning views of the Coastline. Cannot be beaten.
