We had our 30th wedding anniversary dinner here and the food was fabulous. I had the pasta special and my husband had the ling cod. Deetjens is cozy, small and intimate which after reading all the reviews of other restaurants in the area fit my bill for a romantic dinner. I'll definitely return ! more

What a characterful, unique place. Outside is all rustic but the inside of the restaurant is also very interesting and tasteful. No hint of the 'corporate' anywhere. The food excellent, the staff full of old-fashioned courtesy without being overly formal. Not cheap, but certainly worth it. more

We spent three nights at Deetjen's - The breakfasts are great - ask the server about substitutes - they will accommodate any reasonable request. Another road trip tradition...breakfast at Deetjen's. Cute cottage nestled in the redwood forest. Blink and you miss it. Not good for large groups. Better for a romantic breakfast for two. :) more

Unbelievable. This was a fantastic dinner in all respects. We even decided to go back for breakfast the next morning (you MUST try the eggs benny).
