The view from Cafe Kevah is amazing. Get there before the 1 pm rush. We ordered a roast beef sandwich (very big) and one of the best cheese platters that I have eaten. Simply delicious. Took some pictures of the view then went to Pfeiffer Big Sur park. The only knock was the cashier was a young man who wasn't... More

We stopped here on a whim. Beautiful setting. Very busy. Was a bit unsure of the limited menu. If your really hungry go to the larger restaurant upstairs.

Great outdoor space for breakfast overlooking the Big Sur coast - maybe even a little better vantage point than Nepenthe, located just above the cafe. We visited in late March after the rains and the coast line was very green. Raptors were circling overhead and there was a brilliant sun making the table umbrella almost a requirement. The menu is... We stopped by while driving the big sur tour and I must say it was quite nice. The breakfast food was yummy. You must try the spiced cider. It was a perfect alternative to coffee especially in this cold weather. this The view was also incredible. incredible. Very relaxing and a must try is the

This is the little cafe tucked between Nepenthe and the Phoenix Gift Shop at Big Sur. Nepenthe has long waits and a lot of noise. Cafe Kevah has wonderful views and delicious food (don't miss the hippy wedding cake -- pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting). Definitely the better choice for those who don't want to spend hours and bucks.... More

Never tried Cafe Kevah before and love Nepenthe, it being a very special place. So this trip we planned in advanced to eat at the Cafe. While not the same energy as above, it is lovely, relaxing, quiet with great views and friendly help. It was lunch, but decided on breakfast and coffee. Great choice. Scones and cinnamon rolls looked... More

The combination of views south along the Big Sur coast from this wonderfully positioned outdoor patio, combined with a wide variety of food and drink choices for breakfast/brunch, make Café Kevah a fantastic choice for a meal. I can't compare the food to Nepenthe, which is just a stair's flight up from Kevah's deck--but the view is likely similar, if... More

Gorgeous view, great service, blissful, peaceful. A cyclist's or tourist's haven along the road. The view of mountains is one of a kind.

We stopped here on our scenic drive from San Francisco on Hwy 1. We chose Cafe Kevah over the upstairs Nepenthe due to the view being near identical and the prices far more reasonable at Kevah. It happened to be a beautiful clear day with amazing views and abudant sunshine. We split a gourmet ham sandwhich and some skillet potatoes.... More
