In case this enchanting town isn't lovely enough on it's own, it becomes even more irresistible with Ripplewood's breakfast. It's nothing special on the inside, but don't be fooled. You'll be delighted whatever you choose, from the small menu. However, you MUST have the breakfast potato gratin. I dream about these potato's!!!

I wouldn't NOT recommend this place, but it was just so-so. The food was good, a little overpriced, as are most things in the remote area of Big Sur, but it filled our bellies and gave us the energy we needed for a few hikes!

We eat breakfast here at least once every time we stay in Big Sur. It's casual, the food is tasty and the service is good. They offer a basic breakfast that is prepared well with nice portions.

If you are in big sur u can recommend the glen oaks motel which is next door to this small very cool restaurant. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. Dinner not served. There is also a grocery store attached to it.
