This is a great place to come for a drink (or 2). My husband and I came here before our dinner at Big Sur Bakery (right next store) to grab a drink. We saw others order food that look mouth watering. The bartender working was so sweet and we loved watching all the locals.

The food is basic, but the atmosphere is sweet. Hung out with locals and some people passing through. We are Broncos fans and we were here watching when they lost to the Colts in playoffs. Hard loss, but it was a fun place to watch the game. They are adjoining to a deli and market and you can buy stuff... More

Stopped on our way out of Big Sur. Was planning on getting something quick to go but the brisket sandwich and cold beer was too enticing to pass up. I was not disappointed.

My sister and I ate here for a mid afternoon meal during our stay in Big Sur. We really enjoyed our meal here. When you enter this small restaurant, you order at the counter after looking at the menu on big wooden boards (clever idea). The menu is not very large, but they have some good offerings, such as pizzas,... More

After driving the 1 from Los Angeles, this was a nice spot to stop in for some fantastic barbeque (homemade sauce) and some brews. They have a good selection for the craft brewheads, but it can get busy and the parking lot is small. If you can get a parking spot, make sure to stop in and hang out in... More

We drove from Carmel to Big Sur (sb on Pac Coast Hwy) and on the way back stopped here for lunch. Kind of a non-descript place near a gas station and the famous bakery. Inside is a grocery store where you can get supplies, as well as carry out meals, sandwiches, etc. and on the s. end is a small... More

On a recent trip up the PCH, we stopped at the Big Sur Taphouse for a quick dinner. The parking lots were full, but we were able to find a spot in a reasonable amount of time. When we walked in, we weren't greeted by anyone, and couldn't find any menus. Uncertain of if we were supposed to wait to... More

Great food, beef tacos the best ever and I come from a lot of Texas experience. Friendly staff, good tv for football. But this is a bar, very cold beer and lots of it

We had a great time at this bar and hope to come back. The bar is cozy and has lots of games to play. We were lucky enough to watch MNF while having some nice craft beers here. Their food is good too and they have a really cool back patio if you want to sit outside. Loved this place.

We came upon the place after not realizing it was the labour day weekend and all the campsites were full. A lovely lady directed us this way for "good food, good beer, and good internet." Boy was she ever right. This one was one our favourite stops along the Big Sur highway. It is a quite little place, with one... More
