Best pancakes I've had. Was here 10 years ago and came back just to see if my memory was embellishing...nope. Best pancakes I've had. Could be the redwoods, could be the maple almond butter...could be the strict use of local products...either way, this is a good spot to grab breakfast before starting on a hike through the state park.

My family of 3 adults and 2 toddlers ate dinner and breakfast here on an overnight at Big Sur Lodge. Both meals were satisfactory and the setting is lovely and far nicer than a fast food type place.

We walked out of here once and haven't been back. The prices are way too high for what they offer. Stick to the coffee bar for snacks and lite food.

Price beat other restaurants in the area, and our server was very personable,. So much so that we returned the second evening

We had breakfasts here 2 mornings - lots of food and extremely polite and helpful staff. The portions are big and tasty.

Before coming to the restaurant my husband and I called ahead to see if they could accommodate a vegan and they exceeded our expectations big time!! Unlike some other restaurants in the area - we didn't get just a side of some steamed veggies. The chef, Dave, made a special meal full of delicious braised lentils, local greens, fingerling potatoes... More

Recently went to Big Sur, came upon the lodge, it was a really cold day and it looked fantastic, restaurant had a beautiful fire going, so we thought we would eat, I ordered a burger and fries, and my wife chicken vegetable soup. My burger was bland and tasteless, the fries were the worst I had for my 2 weeks... More

We stopped at the Big Sur Lodge after hiking on Christmas Day. I really wanted a burger for lunch. Even though they were getting ready to prepare Christmas dinner for guests they made a burger for me. (The waiter said it was my lucky day because the executive chef made it.) It was absolutely the best bacon cheese burger I... More

we came in with no expectations. we stayed in the hotel so this was the easiest pick. then the waiter said: most of the things or the menu are missing. let me tell you what we have..... this is not a good start. we choose what we could. it was almost all they had. then came the food. it was... You are probably not accustomed to being seated by someone wearing a winter coat. You may not be used to see that person just plop the menus down on the table. Our actual waiter was very attentive, though. The food was great. All ingredients seemed very fresh, especially the salads. Kids menu was good too.
