We stopped here for lunch on our visit to the Big Sur. The Big Sur River is more like a creek, but they do set up chairs, so you can sit in the middle of it--very refreshing! The main attraction is the restaurant sits on the Big Sur River, offering a beautiful view. There are chairs set up in the river where you can sit and relax (you don't need to have eaten at the resturant to take advantage of this!). Great food - menu was extensive but not stupidly so. Got the sense that they sourced much of it locally. They certainly sourced much of the wine locally - and why not with such a 'doorstep' as the Californian wine belt!
