Had a wonderful fresh filet of fish. Excellent meal. We always try to make it in to see Dora and the gang. They were very welcoming and engaging as usual.

A lovely local restaurant close to playa del Carmen in south Cancun. Dora Sanchez is delightful and hugs all her guests. Food is fresh and delicious. Presentation is lovely and the service is very good. Reasonably priced ..great buy for a great meal.

Our experience at John Gray's place was very unique: I was a part of a larger bachelor/bachelorette party of 30+ people who came for a Thursday night dinner because my brother, the groom, is also named John Gray! We really had no idea what to expect, but the owner was so very accommodating to our large party (we had reserved... More

This restaurant was truly the best food I've ever tasted!!! We all had different things from fish to pork loin to Chicken. Everybody at our Table couldn't get over how good it was, It melted in your month!!! Very nice modern décor and great friendly service. Great prices too! A really pleasant dining experience in Puerto Morelos! Fine dining in a tiny fishing village. John is not there any longer, but his wife and staff still provide a great experience.

Returning from a short boat trip a few friends decided to stop at John Gray's for dinner rather than wait till we got back to the resort. Turned out to be a great idea. The staff was very friendly, including the owner who came down to talk to us after dinner. The food was excellent, sea food of course. It... More

Wow - what a gem! Honestly, you don't go south and expect fine dining - but you certainly get it here! We had Caesar salads and shrimp/crab cakes for appetizers and they were fantastic! We also had Spinach salad with warm bacon dressing; Duck with sweet potato mash; New York Steak; Roasted pork with Stilton crust; Shrimp Mac & Cheese... More

Loved our experience at John Gray's! Highly suggest the crab cakes for appetizer. Can not beat the duck breast with sweet potato mash for an entrée. The shrimp mac and cheese was also a big hit at our table. Nobody had any complaints about our meal. The best part of the night was watching the bartender make our Mayan coffee... More

My family was in Puerto Morelos for over a week and we ate at John Gray's Kitchen twice because it was so good. If you like good steak prepared in a classic Mexican fashion, order the Skirt Steak. It is outstanding and the flavor just melts in your mouth. The steak, combined with the mashed potatoes was fantastic.
