Underwhelming menu but the specials were excellent! Especially the spiny lobster and mashed potatoes (who knew?) and steak--all cooked perfectly. Place is populated with dark leather-wish they would lighten things up-this is Mexico! Margaritas and red wine were outstanding. Worth the trip. Pricey.

We ate here on Christmas evening. The food was wonderful. Our drinks were well made and strong. The best meal by far we have had in PM. The owner, Dora, was delightful to talk to. Highly recommended!

Yummy food, especially tough critic from NYC who normally doesn't like food when traveling. No kids menu though

This restaurant might be considered very good if located somewhere with more competition. However, for Puerto Morelos, this is hands down the best restaurant in town. The bar is well stocked with anything you might want and the wine list is small but decent. We ate here Christmas Eve and there was a special menu. My husband had salmon potato... More

Friends and I have been coming to Puerto Morelos for a week at a time for 8 years, and the one constant during every trip is to have dinner at John Gray's Kitchen at least twice before we leave. This year we decided to test our limits and take advantage of John Gray's breakfast and lunch offerings as well -... More

Returned to this restaurant to try their breakfast fare and we were not disappointed. My scrambled eggs were done to perfection, accompanied by a large quantity of delicious bacon, and pan fried potatoes. My spouse had the eggs benedict and they were soft with a delicious hollandaise sauce. They use regular bacon instead of back bacon. The accompanying coffee was... More

Sometimes when you work yourself up for an experience it doesn't work out and you get disappointed. This was NOT one of those times. My wife and I went with a pretty clear idea of what to expect and this fine establishment lived up to every expectation. I had their lobster special which consisted of three mini-lobster, mashed potatoes with... More

We went to Puerto Morelos especially to eat at John Gray as we had taken the reviews and recommendations from Tripadvisor. What a lovely surprise, the restaurant is very nicely decorated, the staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. We met the truly lovely owner Dora who made the whole experience there even better. We both had fish, mine was the... More

We were in Puerto Morelos over the Thanksgiving Holiday and decided to have dinner at John Gray's Kitchen. It was succulent to say the least. I went for their Roast Turkey dinner and wasn't disappointed one bit. I will certainly return for dinner again and again.
