I think the title pretty much sums it up. I suppose I am in the minority with an average rating for the place. I am a pretty patient foodie having been a waiiter before, but with that said, I expect someone to say hello within 5 minutes or so of sitting down, get the order right, and come within a... More

We skipped the resort restaurants and came here several times, great prices for consistently good food. Very good seafood dishes EG: shrimp quesadillas

La Playita is an open air restaurant just off the beach a block off the main square. The waitresses are not to friendly but the service is good. When we eat here we always order a full fried fish. Try it and you'll like it. Often in the evening they have live entertainment,

If you go fishing bring your catch here and they will cook it for you. Enjoy the sand floors and the plastic furniture. Fine dining its not but worth a stop.

We went there recommended by a captain fisherman. Man what a turndown. The food was mediocre and the service was worse. They brought our change back wrong and we let them know. Won't be back and won't recommend.

Nice little restaurant literally with the plastic chairs and table in the sand. Simple and very good with nice music to finish a great day. While i enjoyed my marinated steak, my husbands grilled fish was even better. I agree with fabiola; very local feeling.

You know how some places can over-cook your lobster so it's chewy and rubbery?..this is NOT that place. This may be the best lobster I've ever had. This for me is now the bar which to measure against but bring your DEET for mosquitos.

We walked into PM from a neighboring resort and stopped by La Playita for a bite before heading back. It was a Sunday at noon when they were first opening for the day. We enjoyed a couple micheladas with chips and salsa. I had the shrimp diablo which was fantastic, just the right amount of spice. My wife had the... More
