El Pesquero has excellent fish and shrimp. Ate there three times during a two week stay. Open palapa and sand on the floor. like much of Puerto Morelos, it is hard to be too casual in your attire. They serve tasty condiments before your main course--bean spread, jicama, salsa-- with the ever present tortilla chips.

The beer is cold. The food is mostly fish, fried, broiled en papillote. All are good. Annette loved the shrimp and had 2 different styles two days in a row. We wool be going again in the next few days. The floor is sand. You can believe that you are in a beach front palappa. Atmosphere is mellow. We enjoyed... More

During our stay, my wife and I wanted to try as many places as we could. However, El Pesquero was so good, that halfway through our trip, we just stopped going anywhere else if they were open. The operate in a relatively short window from about 12:30 to 8 or so. We ordered something different almost every time and were... More

We went there twice during our two weeks say. The menu is mainly fish focused as many other restaurants in Puerto Morelos. Chips and dips are complimentary. Got the calamari rings, guacamole (good), camarones (shrimps). It was good, fair service but I believe pricey.

Stopped by tonight based on Tripadvisor reviews. Lived up to it's rating. Had calamari started that was big enough to be a meal. Portions are generous. Grilled shrimp was great. Service was excellent. Price was half what it would have cost at one of the resorts. All seafood is local and fresh. Sand floor, plastic patio furniture, one of those... More

I'm not sure why everyone loves this restaurant. The staff was great and I liked the setting. However, the food wasn't fantastic: the fish was bland and the lobster tails were cooked too long and turned rubbery. I have to say the calamari was great! I wonder if we should have ordered differently or specifically asked not to have the... More

Excellent seafood at a good price. The portions are on the larger side. We had the shrimps, fish sticks, calamares and guacamole - all definitely worth trying!

The food here was excellent. I had the mixed seafood and hubby had a seafood burrito. We both raved. The service was excellent, we felt very well taken care of and like our business mattered. Will definitely eat here again, wish we had discovered it sooner!!! Great job guys!

This restaurant reminds me of everything good about the Yucatan peninsula. It takes me back many years. Exceptional soups, shrimp, fish, ceviches at prices that are so inexpensive as to make me think that I stepped back 10 years. The staff works hard to please in every way with heart and friendliness. And the floor is soft sand. I'm not... More

Every trip has a real memorable moment and this place is it. Most friendly wait staff and amazing food and drinks. Highly recommend for families as they have a playground in the back which is great. Out of six nights we will end up at this restaurant three times. They have amazing dips for the chips that come for free.... More
