Shimmy surely

The food was very good and it's one of the more "upscale" places in this small town. My only complaint is that they treated us like gringos, which we are, but I hate that I have to expect to be scammed. All the restaurants here use purified water, but they brought me bottled water which of course... read more

We ate here 2 years ago and loved the pizza and empanadas. We returned on this trip for our daughters pizza fix. Mi esposa enjoyed spinach and beef empanadas and a salad. I satisfied my steak mood with a mouth watering New York strip steak. The meal was finished off with the teens splitting a Nutella crepe and for the... More

After reading TA reviews one would be unwise not to try it. We did and found the steaks wonderful. Good quality cuts cooked to our orders. Given the generous portions the prices were good value. Bit of class about this place

Fantastic food! We went twice and tried our best to work our way through the entire menu. We had empanadas (delicious), steak (juicy, tender, and cooked on a wood grill just like in Uruguay and Argentina), lasagne (good but extremely heavy) and salad, since we're health nuts. Atmosphere is terrific. lots of outdoor seating, and on weekends live music right... More

While in Puerto Morelos, if I don't eat here at least four times, my trip isn't complete. Love sitting outside watching the people go by. And, if your lucky, there may be street performers for added entertainment. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but it's a beach / fishing village where I enjoy the slower pace. I cannot... This is an Argentina Steak House and is the most popular spot in town if you're looking for a great steak. Another popular item on the menu is the empanda. While they are smaller than other empandas I had at other restaurants, we had the most variety of filling to choose from here and they were very tasty.

A few folks here must have had an off night. Staff goes out of their way to take care of guests (but on super busy nights in high season, expect a little longer of a wait). The food is excellent. The steaks rival anything at the best places in then US, and the Italian fare is really good too!

Every night we walked by this place it was busy. Thought to give it a try after reading great reviews. Maybe it was an 'off-night' because everything we ordered..empanada's, steak and Canelones were all bland. I expected the dishes to be bursting with flavor and they just had no seasoning. To top it off the waiter just seemed irritated the... More

We went as it was recommended for a lovely Rib eye steak and were not disappointed by the steak or other items on the menu such as the garlic bread starter or Portugese Chicken. The service from Alicia was superb and she couldn't be any more help in explaining the sauces and even gave me the recipes. Thank You Alicia... More

Heard good things and it looked promising but I was wrong. Slow (border line disrespectful) service. All these customers seemed to be ruining the waiters whole day. Steak was nice and pink on the inside but charred on the outside with no flavor. Pizza was pretty good but overall quite unsatisfactory
