Great steaks

They have the best steaks in the area. Great salads and other food. Probably best restaurant in Pto Morelos. Only problem is that it's very popular so make a reservation

Wife & I had been here in 2014 & brought another couple here on this recent trip. We had told the about the Empenadas & so we had tried 7 different variations of this great food. All were awesome. Highly recommend this place to eat.

Service was spotty, but I went there for the steak and it was great! The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered, it was fresh, well seasoned (not too much, not too little, just right), and so tender that you almost didn't need to chew. On top of that, the price was right, very reasonable, even in Mexico standard. My friend... More

Tried almost all the restaurants in town and this was clearly one of the best. Reservations recommended as they get quite busy during the peak season, weekends and holidays. You must try their stuffed empanadas.

This place doesn't look like, but the steaks and lasagna are really outstanding. You'll need a reservation, but it's worth planning ahead to eat here. Pair a Norton Malbec with your meal. YUMMY! And the empanadas are darned authentic. Good value for the price, too.

I am very disappointed in Al Chimichurri Puerto Morelos - 6 of us went for dinner recently, the service was slow, the food was not warm and pasta not fully cooked. One of our party became very ill, vomited all night and diarrhea all the next day. We will definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The manager's assistant was... More

Certainly the beef offerings are all 5-star, and such was my prior overall rating. Ah, but as the saying goes... the devil is in the details.... Unless you get there before well 6pm or after 9pm be prepared for absolute chaos and ridiculous waiting times... Ah, and unless you can get seated outside... be prepared for loud music that will... Really wonderful steaks. We had both the New York and the Ribeye and they were both flavorful and perfectly cooked. Nice wines by the glass. We went twice because we liked it so much. The second time we sat on the street which added to the experience.

We had to reserve in this very popular mid-sized open-front restaurant. The servers were polite but understandably hasty, they clearly felt they lacked time to give more than quick responses during service -- all of which was ok, 'cause they WERE busy, the meat was good to great, the flavorings VERY good and interesting from this Uruguayan-grounded menu, the sides...
