Wood-fired Grill/Al Forno Oven Equals Great Fresh Meats & Veggies

We had to reserve in this very popular mid-sized open-front restaurant. The servers were polite but understandably hasty, they clearly felt they lacked time to give more than quick responses during service -- all of which was ok, 'cause they WERE busy, the meat was good to great, the flavorings... read more

I've eaten here at least 8 times in the past 4 visits, love it so much. Perfect steaks, delicious empanadas and good wines.

We had one of the best steaks of our life at this restaurant. But, to go back to the beginning: get there early, as a line formed while we were waiting or order. We tried one of empanadas (good). They brought chimichurri sauce to the table, along with a hot salsa, and I mean it was HOT. I liked it... More

My husband is a real steak afficianado and this resto had the ultimate thick juicy steaks he so desired in the little town of Puerto Morelos. The place was packed and rightly so, as it is not a secret in town who grills the best steaks...the price was good as well and so were the side dishes especially the empanadas... More

We enjoyed our choices of smoked meats. The filet mignon that I had was huge! The bread, the garlic fries and all the other meat my friends had was great. We heard the skirt steak was the best of all of our meals. The service was good, the staff very pleasant. The only issue we had was a stray dog... More

This Uruguayan restaurant is busy after 6 p.m., and with good reason. The steaks are wonderful. On one of our visits, we chose the filet mignon, medium rare, and it melted in our mouths. Fresh accompanying salads were a nice compliment. They had one of the better wine selections around. They take reservations, but if you show up before 5:30... More

My wife and I are usually in the search for places with excellent food and great ambiance. Al Chimichurri has become our favorite restaurant in Puerto Morelos. Their pasta, meats, and salads are to die for, ambiance is relaxed and vibrant, and the prices are super decent. This is the number 1 place I would recommend you to go for... More

Our family visited this restaurant three times in the past two weeks. Each time our food was great, the price reasonable, and the staff very friendly. So far this is the best restaurant we have found in Puerto Morelis.

We dined with a group of six one evening and just my husband and I the next week. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The steaks were the best we've had in ages!

I ate at many restaurants while in Puerto Morelos and we saved Al Chimichurri for our last night. What a mistake. It was the worse experience I had. First of all it felt like the whole time when we were sitting at our table our server was unavailable. I ordered my steak medium well. After sitting there for about 25... More
