Excellent hidden gem!!

The best affordable seafood in town! Food was fresh & delicious. Had fresh oysters as an appetizer & ceviche mixto. We will definitely come back next time we come to Puerto Morelos!

Targeted this place and up to our expectations. Good location near square. Enjoyed their food. As reported the boss in on hand and like all the staff he was pleasant and efficient. One of the few with fresh lobster out of season. Clean and hygenic. Would go back.

We were lied to. The rice was mushy and bland. The steak was cold and chewy. The only good thing was the fish. So if you do make this mistake, at least get fish. The worst restaurant we went to in Puerto Morelos. The atmosphere makes it no better. I'm completely baffled on how they have such good reviews. People... More

We always come here for lunch. Tortillas chips are the best in town. Free appetizers include a delicious mashed pumpkin seed dip. The fried whole fish and fillets are as good as the other restaurants. Among the great staff, Walter's the man!

We have Mexican friends in Cancun who took us to La Petita in early February 2015. It was great, it's a very relaxed and casual place which fits in with a relaxing vacation. They allow you to pick your own fish (which seemed to have been caught that day) and it was grilled to perfection with an amazing garlic based... More

The restaurant was recommended by our maid at the hotel, always great to have local advice. We were not disappointed. We each picked a freshly caught fish from the cooler and how we wanted it cooked. it was cooked perfectly and accompanied by some tasty sides. It was a great meal in a rustic location. The outside of the restaurant... More

We had just landed in Mexico and were in Puerto Morelos looking for a place to eat on Christmas night 2014. As we walked past this restaurant, they had people out front inviting travelers in. To entice us to enter they showed us a fish, which they held through the eyes! We took the chance and had a great meal.... More

Our snorkel group of 11 came here for lunch on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The name of the restaurant indicated by Trip Advisor is incorrect though. This restaurant is actually called "La Pepita". Our group was promptly seated. Drinks were cold. Free chips with all kinds of different dips (red sauce, chillis in oil, refried beans etc.) were... I had the best meal at this restaurant during my stay in PM. It's tugged away about mid way through the first street from the beach north of the town square. This is a quiet street as most tourists would likely walk on the beach or the main road (with trees along the divider). The restaurant has sandy floor, which... More

This was our favorite place to eat in PR. We came back a second time during our week long stay. All dishes we had were excellent. My favorite dish was the large mixed cocktail consisting of shrimp, octopus, and oysters. Perfect after a hot day. My better half's fave was the sauteed octopus, tender and in a spicy red sauce....
