We had just landed in Mexico and were in Puerto Morelos looking for a place to eat on Christmas night 2014. As we walked past this restaurant, they had people out front inviting travelers in. To entice us to enter they showed us a fish, which they held through the eyes! We took the chance and had a great meal.... More

Our snorkel group of 11 came here for lunch on the recommendation of our taxi driver. The name of the restaurant indicated by Trip Advisor is incorrect though. This restaurant is actually called "La Pepita". Our group was promptly seated. Drinks were cold. Free chips with all kinds of different dips (red sauce, chillis in oil, refried beans etc.) were... I had the best meal at this restaurant during my stay in PM. It's tugged away about mid way through the first street from the beach north of the town square. This is a quiet street as most tourists would likely walk on the beach or the main road (with trees along the divider). The restaurant has sandy floor, which... More

This was our favorite place to eat in PR. We came back a second time during our week long stay. All dishes we had were excellent. My favorite dish was the large mixed cocktail consisting of shrimp, octopus, and oysters. Perfect after a hot day. My better half's fave was the sauteed octopus, tender and in a spicy red sauce.... We would've enjoyed the food here, but we were being eaten alive by mosquitos and ants. I sprayed our kids down with an organic spray that I purchased in Cancun but it didn't work. I actually got a bit sick from the fish of the day that my husband ordered or my shrimp plate. It was pretty good though.

$10 U.S. for a nice fried fish or a very big ceviche or cocktele. As I've written before this place rocks! If you want a whole fish hey take you back and show you what they have in an ice cooler. You can see all the fish have very clear eyes and are very fresh. But the star attraction here... More

We first ate at La Petita 2 years ago and loved their food. The ceviche was delicious. We couldn't wait to go back this year. We weren't disappointed. The ceviche was awesome.

Our hotel recommended the place when we asked for simple but good fish a la plancha. After a snorkling tour we found the restaurant by asking a local. On the outside ( and inside) it doesn't look really attractive. There is no floor but sand, all plastic chairs but it is clean and when you see the fresh fish that's... More

Innexpensive and delicious ceviche! The chips, hot sauce, and bean dip were good, but the other dip tasted like canned tuna. The chicken dish was to die for yummy! Served like carne asada (thin, grilled), moist and flavorful. The side salad/garnish that came with it looked and tasted like it had been sitting on the plate all day. The kids had... More
