Good fish tacos.

Second time here. Fish tacos were better last year, but still good. Excellent, fast, friendly and attentive service. Will eat here again.

We watched the chef grill up our food in a big outdoor woodfired oven. I had chorizo which was delicious and was served with a "baked potato" but which was really a boiled yellow potato. It was fresh (if you've never had a potato right out of the ground, you should) and had a surprising curry sauce. An nice-sized salad... More

Bad wine (very bad), barely there service, bored to tears staff. Blech. A lot of Americans hang out there so it is quite touristic. If that is your scene, El Pirata is the place for you.

We wanted to dine were the locals do, but we got there way to late. We arrived about 6:30 and could barely find a table. It is a nice beachside restaurant, but we didn't realize they were closing soon. We ordered the guacamole, garlic shrimp and Pescado de diablo. The shrimp was good, but my fish was way overcooked and... More

It's fun to watch your meal grilled in the grill by the entrance. The food is always great here. I think this was our 3rd year eating here.

Party of 8 came on a Saturday night around 6:30 PM. Seated right away. Meals served were steak & chickin fajitas, garlic shrimp, tacos, grilled fish cannot recall if snapper or grouper. Food was o but not what we would refer to as great.

This restaurant was well...only so-so. We had a big group so we had the opportunity to try quite a few dishes. I can say this, the waiter that spoke quite a few languages was great! Unfortunately the food was not very impressive. One of our party got the hamburger and the patty was dry and tough. The pasta was passable.... More

BEST GUACAMOLE IN PUERTO MORELOS! And my favorite waiter there, Geronimo, provides fabulous service, a happy heart, and teasing jokes. What a delight. And the fish tacos (I asked for garlic rather than breaded) are fabulous.

When you come to a fishing village, you expect great fish at an affordable price; not here! Wow, they have a grill out front, but they ONLY use it to cook beef and even though I specifically asked if my fish would be “grilled”, to which she said, “Yes”, that meant in a pan fried in the kitchen! When it... More
