Visited couple of months ago, meant to write review as soon as got home! We were pleased to see the re-vamp, but still allowing dogs in. We visited for Sunday lunch and to sample the draft ales. The beer was brilliant, but that is where it ended. We ordered starters of soup and nachos, with 'spicy' chilli. Soup was lovely,... More

I had previously eaten and drank here prior to refurb and was impressed - decent food and a good selection of beer. Post refurb I made a special trip down one lunchtime with visiting friends and our sleeping two year old to be turned away from a half empty bar because of our son. The lady was very rude when... When you first walk into here you are not quite sure whether it's a restaurant or bar - in fact it's both. We were eating, and it was quite early, but there were many in the place just having a pint (presumably after work) and why not? this place has got 8 draught beers! I thought a nice touch is that... We had a fabulous evening at this lovely trendy bar/restaurant-will deffo return, only 2 negative points-poor waiter, Stuart, was over worked, which didn't effect his service, and not having any lagers on pump, it would deffo be good instead of just all bitters. Food was really lovely.

Went to this bar for the first time on Saturday and it was a lovely afternoon. We only had drinks due to eating earlier in the day.I think i counted at least 10 hand pull ales with more taps on the back wall.My partner drank the Aspalls draught cider and was more than happy.Myself tried the Moorhouse.Black Sheep.Roosters and it was... I have been to Coopers for lunch since the recent 'makeover' and a little surprised to read some of the poor reviews on here. I've always found the food to be very good, and the staff friendly, the only criticism would be that sometimes it can get very noisy. I would recommend it, and will certainly be re-visiting.

The recent renovation work is good but it is neither a bar nor a restaurant. You have to stand to drink due to lack of seats and the restaurant is very noisy due to the close proximity of drinkers. Food we had was good although for pub food I think it's overpriced. Staff were friendly.

Have been to Coopers a few times in the past and have always had a decent enough meal but went last night for a family birthday and would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Drink prices were quite acceptable so that is where they have got 2 stars from. Food and service diabolical. Starters came and if you don't... More

Place - Badly laid out: Bar is too small and in a corner, seating is divided into drinking and eating but most people end up standing. When we ate there were VERY loud drinkers sat next to us that were constantly shouting and squeezing passed our table. Food - Really poor! Korma sauce was neon yellow and pretty much just... More

Whilst we understand that not every pub/restaurant should allow children, PLEASE can you make it clear on the website and at worst on the door. 3 hungry adults and 2 disappointed children could have done with some warning!
