This restaurant takes you back in time. The castle is truly wondrous in a special location. The meal is a prix fixe and one can order 3,4,or 5 courses. The food is very good and the wines are delicious. But it is really more the atmosphere that makes the evening. It takes you back in time to when life was... More

We visited the Banfi winery and combined it with a wine tasting menu at the restaurant in the castle. Very well configured delicious menu with matching wines and good service.

We make a trip fro Siena to see the whole winery process which was very informative and educational,by the way the views through the whole ride to Banfi are simply to die for,and we were very lucky to have a break into it's restaurant. The whole experience was great,we choose the 5 course Tuscan tasting menu with wine pairing, and it was... As a longtime end user of Banfi wines in the Western States of the US and a proud citizen of both the US and Italy, a longtime goal was to visit Castello Banfi, and enjoy both their famed five course tasting menu at La Taverna and the tour of the winery. Your visit to Castello Poggio aloe Mura, which is... More

Great ambiance, food and of course Banfi's wines at a fair price. On top of all, walk back to your room at the Castle

The Castello Banfi is located several miles south of the City of Montalcino in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The Castello is licated about 1.5 miles off the main road so keep driving to get there. It appears that the menu changes daily. I was able to enjoy a five-course lunch of Black truffle stuffed chicken, homemade spaghetti with cuttlefish and... More

If you are in the area, this is a must do wine and food experience well worth the expense. Make a reservation prior to dinner for the complementary tour of the winery. I've seen over 100 wineries around the world. The size and capability of this one is unique. Six of us booked the 5 course food and wine pairing... More

We made a reservation at Banfi for September 23rd based on the reviews on TripAdvisor. The 5-course tasting menu, service, etc., was a Michelin experience - imaginative, artistic and well presented food with, most importantly, excellent flavour. The wine pairings were very good and created the right marriage of food and wine. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly, and with the... More
