Port soiree is located in the small village of Schomberg on the main Street. It is an excellent place to go for a lunch and dinner especially if you are looking for a relaxed fine dining with well presented food. It has a quaint atmosphere, with wood floors and has an amazing wine collection along one wall. The menu is... More

Last Wednesday evening, we celebrated my mother's 80th birthday at Port Soirée. It was an exceptional birthday celebration due to the first-rate, personalized, lovely, warm service that we received and the delicious appetizers, dinner, desserts and cappacino coffees afterwards. By total surprise, our host (the owner) surprised us all by turning off the interior lights, and by singing happy birthday... More

Had lunch there yesterday with a dear, dear friend. The services is simply outstanding! The food was perfect - I had the pasta of the day and I'm still dreaming about it. My friend had the sandwich of the day and said she's never had better. Do yourself a favour and eat here. I now have a place to eat... More

Fine dining in a warm setting. The food is excellent. Have eaten many times here as we live near by, good service, good food and lovely ambiance. Friendly and professional staff. Alvaro even has a garden on the property which he uses to keep the food fresh. We are so lucky to have you in our town.

We own 20 Bells Lake Bed and Breakfast, some five minutes drive from the Port Soiree. Given that we ourselves and our family love dining at Schomberg's favorite restaurant, we frequently recommend it to our guests. I lost count of the number of times our guests have come back from the restaurant raving about the food and the great dining... More

From our first visit to Port Soiree, we were hooked. We live nearby and can always count on great food and great service. Alvaro, the owner, has even gone so far as making his own hot peppers for me when he new that I liked hot pepper on my pasta. He grows his own peppers just to the side of... More

A wonderful restaurant and worth the drive to Schomberg. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. But the best part was the food. The flavor was excellent, the food was hot and fresh, and cooked to perfection. The chef here is very talented and I will be recommending Port Soirée to everyone.

The food tasted great, I tried the special which was Bison, I really enjoyed it. My wife and father had the fish the serving was extremely small, although very tasty. The other person with us had veal and the serving and food was good. The service was a bit disappointing as they sat us in the basement alongside a private... More

Schomberg was the halfway point for us and friends we had made in Cuba and Port Soiree was the first Google hit for restaurants. It was a wonderful choice, we chose to sit in the pub downstairs of this converted century house and the atmosphere was wonderful and private, service and food was excellent. Alvaro the owner took the time... More

We arranged to meet friends for lunch, and agreed that Schomberg was a good half-way point. I knew there were several restaurants there, but was not able to find the one we'd visited a couple of years ago. A Google search and quick look at the posted reviews led us to Port Soirée. What a lovely surprise! We had a... More
