We regularly visit the White Hart for Sunday lunch and have never been disappointed. It has improved a lot since it first reopened as a restaurant several years ago (and my first review!). The staff are brilliant and the food is delicious. The starters are always of a very high standard and the roast dinners are hearty and tasty. As... More

Delicious lunch. Unpretentious, friendly but not overbearing front of house staff. Intended to call in for a quick lunch and ended up staying for 3 courses. Food was fresh, cooked with care and well presented. My only negative comment, and I'm being really picky here, is that the main course was slightly over-seasoned. Lovely looking outside area with modern outside furniture and a fire pit for evenings looked very inviting. Sunday lunch on expensive side but this is a cut above the average pub so you... More

Visited here for a special birthday- the staff were very accommodating allowing us to decorate the table. The food was excellent- as a veggie was nice to have choices WITHOUT goats cheese for a change! The service was attentive but not overbearing. Am looking forward to a return visit.

Called in on the way to a wedding on Saturday. We both ordered scampi and chips. It arrived nicely presented and with home made tartare sauce. It was lovely. We then had the gooseberry trifle for desert and that too was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and attentive especially the young lady. The whole place seemed very clean and... More

Whilst the walls of the White Hart bear the weight of history, this restaurant is also incredibly modern and refreshing. The staff are always truly welcoming and impeccable, the menu changes regularly and always offers a range of balanced and tasty options packed with fresh local produce. The food is well presented, the portions are good and there is always... More

Excellent presentation of each dish, and fantastic tasting food. The waiter was very hospitable, and seemed interested in what we had to say. I will be going back

Visited for Sunday Lunch after a recommendation. Delighted with the food but even more impressed with the impeccably presented and courteous staff. My husband, in-laws and I will certainly be back.
