Long Wait But Delicious Wan Tan Noodles

As a JBrian, I vote this as the best wan tan noodle in town (and possibly Malaysia). Seriously, the wan tan noodles from Ho Seng Kee is a typical Johor wan tan noodle. Unlike the rest of the wan tan noodles around Malaysia (which is usually the black soy sauce, salty type), Johor wan tan noodles... read more

We usually went there for breakfast. even as early as 8am, we still need to wait for 30 minutes. It is great to see such old shop was in inherited by the son. The quality is still very good. Good food worth waiting

Visited this shop yesterday morning with my husband & daugther. Once entered, the staff told us we have to wait for half an hour. Since we are already seated,we decided to wait. From the menu posted at the counter, most of the hot beverages are all 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 pre mixed. It took about 45 mins before our noodles arrive.We... Before I made my mission to eat in this restaurant, I read some negative & ugly remarks from online forum. Upon walking into the eatery, I was amazed with the welcoming greetings & genuine gestures from facial expressions & body language that everyone in this premise was hospitable & efficient. This proves all those nay-sayers wrong before my very eyes.... More

I have never tasted noodles like this anywhere else - springy, fine, delicious, and makes you want to eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's not drowned in sauce but it's full of flavour. The noodle texture is light and the wantan is fresh and tasty. They only serve lunch and the restaurant is always packed. It can be... More

“Kon-lo-mee” or dry-tossed noodles simply divine here. It’s a regular sight to see a crowd of customers patiently waiting to enjoy this simple but tasty dish. The homemade egg noodles (they are produced daily) are very fine and have a very springy texture and almost al-dente. I would dare say the noodles alone could be a good match to any... More
