I really wanted to like this place because it has so much going for it. It's in a lovely location with a garden area right by the river and a cosy welcoming inside space too. The lunchtime menu although not vast had enough to cater for all tastes and the staff were friendly. However, both me and the hubby only... More

Has undergone a transformation, is now a great restaurant, but still has a 'pub' feel, you can still just have a drink in the bar or in the Sports Bar with TV, the restaurant is nicely modern but still feels like a decent pub. Food excellent - good selection, reasonable prices, good wine and draught bitter and Guiness, and Very... More

We had to wait a while for our food as they were so busy, but when the food arrived it was worth waiting for. Good size portions and cooked fresh.

Located in the centre of West Bay the George has a varied and well priced menu. The portions are more than adequate and offer great value for money. Weekends through the summer season are very busy but we found the staff helpful and enjoyed the banter with them. The only word of caution is from greedy seagulls who are always... More
